I got this on a huge sale for $499, which included a $100 discount coupon. At that price, this laptop is excellent for work-related tasks. However, it's not ideal for gaming. You can run casual 3D games like Disney Dreamlight Valley at medium to very low settings, achieving 40-43 FPS with some frame drops. The camera is decent, but the speakers are quite poor. I'm giving it barely 4 stars for its performance and 16GB RAM, which are great for work-related operations. Overall, it's a good deal for a $499 laptop, but I wouldn't pay more than that. ... show more

Our youngest child is graduating from college this spring, so we purchased this Mallrace laptop as a graduation gift. I am impressed with the quality and performance of this PC and believe it will meet all their needs. They will use this for gaming as well as work. This PC has a nice bright 16" display, a full-size keyboard, and a large touchpad. The build quality is very high, with a slim and light, all-metal case. This laptop feels like a high-end device, and has a lot of small touches that suggests strong engineering & design. Powering this device is a Intel Alder Lake N97 processor, along with 16GB of RAM and a 512gb SSD. The display is a Full HD IPS panel at 1920x1080 pixels. Windows 11 comes pre-installed, so it is ready to go out of the box. The laptop has a wide range of ports including HDMI, three USB 3.2, USB-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a TF card socket. There is also an integrated security lock slot. The stereo speakers are mounted on either side of the keyboard and provide great sound. One of the things I like about this PC is that I could easily upgrade the memory and SSD. By removing 10 screws from the bottom of the case, I was able to open the case to get to the memory and storage. It was extremely easy to pop out the 16GB and replace it with 32GB, and I plan to get an additional SSD to use as a backup. I have upgraded other laptops that were very difficult to get to the memory banks--not this one, as it took all of 10 minutes to remove the back and replace the chips. I really like the performance of this laptop. The processor is fast, the screen is bright, and there is zero bloatware loaded with Windows. The software includes a gaming application that lets you customize some of the performance settings to optimize the PC for gaming. I did not go into the BIOS, but I am certain that you can adjust the clock rates there to get the most out of your gaming experience. I am tempted to get another one of these to replace my 3-year old work laptop--I believe that the gaming features of this laptop would enable me to easily run databases and spreadsheets. This laptop is the worst tech purchase I’ve made in years. Not only does it constantly drop the Wi-Fi connection, but when it does, it claims no networks are available at all — even though every other device in my home is connected and working perfectly. The only way to get it back online is to completely restart the laptop, which is beyond frustrating when you're in the middle of work or a meeting. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, updated everything, reset the laptop — nothing fixes it. To make things worse, customer support is an absolute joke. Unhelpful, slow responses, and no real solutions. They basically told me to do all the things I’d already tried. This laptop is unreliable, poorly supported, and a total waste of money. Save yourself the headache — look elsewhere. ... show more

Runs well. Has a decent amount of space on it. Weird issue. If you close it and open it back up later the screen doesn't turn back on. But it you turn it completely off and turn it back on the screen turns back on no issue no lag. Very strange.

Had this laptop for over a month now and haven’t had one single issue. The battery is good for such a thin I was worried it was gonna overheat a bit because the laptop itself is super light but surprisingly it can handle any game I’ve played so far with minimal heating I’d recommend this laptop to my friends ... show more
