Had installed by professional plumber. Unit is either defective or not suitable for use in a household. Waiting on technical support, will update once I get a response. What I've discovered is, you can't use a mixing valve with it! If you are in the shower and it's too hot and you turn it down to be warm, the water heater turns off and you get ice cold water. Same happens when I'm trying to do dishes, if I want warm water or a low flow, it shuts off. The only way to get hot water is to have it going full blast the entire time at the hottest temp. I'll update once I hear from tech support if my unit is defective, or is that a design flaw. If it's defective, I'll replace it. If it's working as designed, I'll return it as it's not suitable for indoor home use.

The unit works fantastic, but the fact that you have to call her home office in order to get your warranty and all you can do is call a number then hang up and hope they call you back. I've been waiting over a week for them to call me back. Update: it's now October 20th and nobody has called me back in several weeks...

Instalation manual indecated that the unit came with the vent pipe noine was recieved.

ZERO STARS AT BEST. 1 ) Unit shipped without exhaust vent - manual clearly shows vent to be included. The output vent diameter is not standard. Could not find one to fit. Additional cost if you could find correct part >$130. 2) There are no cold/hot water valves included. Additional cost $100set x 2. Could not find valves that would seal. Constant drips. Tried two different styles. Total $200 additional cost and still have not gotten to the point of even being able to turn the unit on. Two plumbers involved. 3) Customer service is non existent. I called the phone number included with unit and received a message saying call could not be connected. 4) IF you try to return thru amazon you receive a message that the item is NON RETURNABLE! Amazon finally came thru and I am waiting for a promised full refund. 5) I had three days of trying to get this complete dumptser fire of a unit to work. I expended at least $400 ADDITIONAL unexpected dollars and STILL CANNOT GET THE UNIT TO FUNCTION! Ranein is probably the worst purchasing experience of a manufactured good that I have ever witnessed.

The unit doesn’t come with the needed intake exhaust pipe and the company will not allow me To return it. DO NOT BUY UNLESS RANEIN SEND YOU THE INTAKE EXHAUST PIPE NEEDED. It’s expensive.
