Ok so I give these socks 5 stars because they work great and the story I’m going to share I take responsibility for losing my battery, just some constructive feedback from it I hope. So I bought these for an all day snowmobiling trip, and I tried them out beforehand and I was really excited because they worked great. Nice and warm and comfortable socks. They go up high on the calf as well. The shipping was fast and they even got here early, so I used them while I shoveled the driveway too. Great addition to my winter wear. So while on the snowmobile apparently the slot in the sock for the battery isn’t very deep, so I tried to fold it over but there wasn’t enough sock to do that. Somewhere along the way the battery come out of 1 of the socks and was lost on the trail. I didn’t even notice it till I was finished and I was taking off my snow pants. Boy was I disappointed. My feet were super warm and comfortable, but now I only have 1 battery for 2 socks. Looks like I need to find out if I can purchase another battery. I wish the slot for the battery was just a bit deeper so I could fold over the sock and make sure the battery didn’t move up and out. That’s my only criticism. Thanks!

So I bought these socks for the winter time, because I work outside. The original pair I received, had some bad stitching on the little pocket that holds the battery. I informed customer service and they immediately rectified the situation by sending me a replacement pair! The socks perform well, but be realistic with you expectations. They will last on low for about 5 hours, on high for about 3.5 hours. They give just enough heat to ward off the pins and needles that comes with cold feet. I wish the battery lasted longer, but I also understand that a longer lasting battery would be larger and you really don’t want a huge battery in your sock. Overall I have these a five star review, due to a decent product and great customer service!

Dec 2022 These socks come with their own USB rechargeable batteries. The batteries take several hours to charge, and the instructions warn not to allow them to overcharge. They are easy to plug into the socks, and each sock has a battery pocket. On cold nights, I like to wear three pairs of socks - one pair under the heated socks and another pair over them. This keeps the heat right where it should be without causing any unnecessary wear and tear on the socks. My frozen little toes become very happy. I gave it 4 four stars instead of five because one of the batteries seems to have trouble. It only works with one of the socks, and it has to be plugged in a certain way. Otherwise, its lights flash and it won't heat the sock. I'll keep working with it and hope for the best. Jan 2024 Update: After winter last year, I put the socks away. Because it is below zero outside, I got the socks out to charge them. The one with the messed up battery does not charge at all. The other one still seems to work somewhat. So, it appears that the battery was defective when it was new. I wish I could say I was surprised.

Then this year when I went to use them, the batteries were dead and would not charge! Company sufpggested I try other chargers, when the owners manual specifically says “use only this charger.” Not offer of replacement. ☹️

My family spends a lot of time out-of-doors in the fall in northern Minnesota. My Rechargeable Heated Socks kept my feet comfortable despite the snow on the ground. As we were just on private property I pulled the socks on over top of my jeans, so accessing battery switches was no problem, though I can see the difficulty if I was wearing multiple layers in addition to snowpants. I used the Low setting and enjoyed even heating on the tops and bottoms of my feet for the set 6 hours. I do not think it is possible for my feet to feel too warm, but I wanted to save the warmer settings for real winter weather and colder temperatures. I am satisfied with the pair of socks I purchased and am looking to buy a second pair.

Tried them for deer hunting, but couldn't feel any warmth from them. Not sure if it was a defective pair or not.

We ordered 2 pairs of socks. The order arrived promptly and was filled correctly including 2 socks, 2 batteries, and a split cable to charge both batteries from 1 USB charger (not included). Unfortunately one sock failed to heat but working with Hany at customer service it was determined that a battery was faulty. Although we only needed a single battery Black Squid had an entire sent of socks out immediately (came from another vendor) and the problem was resolved. Normally I wouldn't give 5 stars as there was a problem but the Black Squid service was terrific. These socks don't get hot, but keep our feet warm enough to suffice so if you are interested in ordering these socks I recommend you order them from Black Squid.
