This came super fast and it was perfect. It was a great replacement for the one I had and seems way sturdier . The size was as described. Better made than the one with the tree. Seems like it should last. I would recommend this. The function with the little remote is great. Color was as expected.

I chose to give it four stars because a week after it worked, it started to make a shuddering noise, almost like a gear was going out. The tree stand still rotates, it just makes the small noise. I got the stand for our 7.5 ft tree last year and didn't get around to using it til now. By then, we moved from our house into an apartment, put the tree in storage and bought a 5 ft one for our small space. We are using the stand with this one. It comes with different fittings for small and wider trunks. Out of the box, assembly is simple and took less than a few minutes to put together. It comes with a remote so you can change the direction the tree turns, a very cool feature. To plug the tree lights in, there's an outlet at the base of the rotating mechanism. However, it wasn't secure to anything. When I plugged the tree in, I used a tie wrap and strapped the assembly to a branch so when the tree turned it wouldn't clank everywhere. There is an on and off switch towards the wall plug. Other than a few small details, we really like this base and intend to get another. If I knew what was causing the noise, I'd like to see if I could get a replacement part to fix the one we have. ... show more

I was reading Shari Rheaume Review in the United States on November 30, 2024: The add [sic] listed improved 2024 with UL rating!! Please check to be sure it is the updated version with the UL rating. The one we received is NOT UL approved!! (possibly old stock) We plugged the tree lights into the base, and they would flash every 3 to 4 seconds when the power was turned off. It did not matter if the lights were turned off by the remote or by the base switch. It would only stop if unplugged from the wall. We returned it and purchased a different brand due to a concern of an electrical problem or worse! I experience the same flashing issue with a unit I purchased on November 15th. My daughters alerted me that an updated stand was available. I ordered what I thought was the upgraded UL certified stand on November 28. No where on the box are the words "UL Certified". The old adage rings true - let the buyer beware. Both are being returned. I did order GREATDAY Rotating Christmas Tree Stand with Remote Control. The photo of the product shows the UL Certified tag. Really nice to enjoy all the ornaments as it spins! Ran perfectly for 16 hrs/day x 3 days then, while it was rotating clockwise, started with a grinding noise that sounded like a string trimmer being used down the street. When it's turned off and then turned back on the next day, it automatically spins in the opposite direction. Fortunately it spins silently going counterclockwise, so we just make sure it is always going in that direction. We know immediately when someone forgets! Kinda disappointing and lame...but I'm not taking the tree down to exchange it after just putting it up... ... show more
