Description

A New York Times Bestseller Through the author’s extensive connections within the royal household, this dynamic new biography tells the full story of how Catherine, the Princess of Wales, became the woman she is today. Kate Middleton's life's story seems like a modern-day fairy-tale. An attractive, clever, and ambitious girl from unexceptional beginnings meets and falls in love with a wealthy prince when they are both college undergraduates. Now, with the British monarchy in transition, Catherine is destined to become the first "commoner Queen” in British history since Anne Hyde, wife of James II. Since her wedding on April 29th, 2011—and since becoming the Duchess of Cambridge—Catherine has endeared herself to the people of the Britain and America with her extensive travels, with her infectious smile, sense of style, and down-to-earth nature. With her self-deprecation, willingness to laugh at herself, solid work-ethic—along with William’s warmth, and accessibility—this dynamic duo has become the most popular members of the royal family. As interest in the royals continues to gain legions of new, younger fans, there is increasing interest in the histories and back stories of the principal players in this story. Through the author’s connection with sources both on and off the record within the royal household, this dynamic new biography tells the full story of how Catherine became the woman she is today. • Book
It's fantastic reading.

  • Catherine is a great subject but this is a boring book
Just read the last few pages of what duties the Princess of Wales hold and you’ve got the book! Such a shame to turn this woman into a Pollyanna with no personality. I really like her and it’s a shame to characterize her as dull. But this is dull.

  • Boilerplate
The photos in the center of the book were upside down

  • Catherine
I had to get this book because Catherine is my all time favorite Royal. I have been “following” Catherine since she first started dating Prince William and I’ve always been a fan. There’s nothing new that I have learned, but I still enjoyed reading it. I think people found it “boring” because Catherine has been so unproblematic and most crave drama. Catherine never played weak or victim, so I guess that equals as boring to some. I’ve never been a Diana or a Meghan fan because of this. Anyway, I would recommend it for a light, easy read. ... show more

  • Ok but nothing special
I read many books on the Royals, this is an easy book to read but nothing new in it, nothing that you could not read or find somewhere else. Do not expect any revelation.

  • up to date interesting biography of Catherine, The Princess of Wales
I found this book interesting and while I knew much of what was written about from other sources and living through these events, this was a nicely turned out biography that highlights the wonderful aspects of HRH. Jonson doesn’t shy away from the controversy that has at times become louder but puts into good perspective. I enjoyed the book and think anyone who is open to liking or actually does feel warmly towards Catherine would also enjoy this book. ... show more

  • Dull PR
Effusive accolades for every move she makes and word she says, no matter how minor or insignificant. This was an insulting read. If you want to imagine that she's not human or she's just a robot, this book will support that. It's also so boring that even though I bought it as a sleep aid, it can't keep my attention long enough to get sleepy. The writing can be tedious, too: "The kids say she takes too many photos. They say, "stop taking photos, mummy." ... show more
