This paddle is amazing for the price. Starting from beginner and using this paddle it is amazing. You get to hone almost every skill. The grit is really good and offers a lot of spin, at the same time you aren't sacrificing power or control over where the ball goes. I wouldn't recommend buying this if you know what your doing but I would definitely recommend this paddle for anyone new / intermediate. I got the control paddle and the power is pretty nice for it being a control. The feel of the grip is not bad at all and weight is very nice for fast and precise movements. Overall I am pleased with this paddle. It had a break in period or adjustment period just like any new paddle but I have seen an improvement in my game since upgrading. Has a nice sweet spot and I seem to have more control when placing the ball. Color is nice only downside is the white grip is pretty gross just after a week of playing….will replace that with a darker color ... show more

Bought this as my first "real" paddle and am very pleased with the performance. There is great control and "touch", but I have since learned, as I play more, that I am more of a power player. The paddle is a hybrid but I believe I will start looking for a paddle designed more towards the power end of the spectrum. ... show more

Update, 1/16/25. Change to 4-star for Selkirk customer services. They sent the replacement. I'll use this as my backup. I like their commitment of backing up their products, I've ordered the Amped to use as my primary. My first serious paddle (paid $100) and loved it. I rate myself as intermediate player (played 4 months) but this paddle gave me good spin. The power I couldn't tell (from my muscle, or the paddle added?). Fair control, go where I wanted. BUT... the quality is so bad. Only after 4 months, every corner showed damage (pictures). The grip torn off. Read the reviews and they all placed this in top 10, but all mentioned short durability. So, there you have it. Hope this help in your decision. Have filed for warranty and see if they honor that; otherwise, no more SLK/Selkirk for me. ... show more
