The renewed MacBook was a reasonable price. It is fast with the M3 chip and runs the latest macOS 15.0.1. It would be a good MacBook if it weren’t for the discolored spot on the screen. I didn’t notice it initially until I restarted it when it showed in plain background color. The spot appeared discolored dimly compared to the rest of the background. It looked like someone had stabbed the screen to have caused the damage to the LCD screen. It is not noticeable if you ignore it. However, it doesn’t display the pixels correctly. I had to return it and get a new one. It is a hit-or-miss for a renewed laptop. It is no big deal if it is a scratch on the outside. But when it is on the screen, it affects the display, which can make a difference in the graphic display. ... show more

I ordered the one in "Excellent Condition." - the gold wasn't quite as apparent as I had hoped, but it's still beautiful in certain lighting. - battery life was full capacity (100%). I can go 2-3 days without charging it - would definitely recommend this computer for a college student - 8 GM RAM and 256 SSD storage is perfectly fine if you're doing simple tasks like Google Chrome, Spotify in background, and maybe an Excel spreadsheet. I got this for my son, and he's not playing the highest framerate games, & it's plenty powerful for Roblox.
