The renewed MacBook was a reasonable price. It is fast with the M3 chip and runs the latest macOS 15.0.1. It would be a good MacBook if it weren’t for the discolored spot on the screen. I didn’t notice it initially until I restarted it when it showed in plain background color. The spot appeared discolored dimly compared to the rest of the background. It looked like someone had stabbed the screen to have caused the damage to the LCD screen. It is not noticeable if you ignore it. However, it doesn’t display the pixels correctly. I had to return it and get a new one. It is a hit-or-miss for a renewed laptop. It is no big deal if it is a scratch on the outside. But when it is on the screen, it affects the display, which can make a difference in the graphic display. ... show more

I’d had my MacBook Air for 11 years and the battery was not holding a charge. I bought this as a replacement and I absolutely love it. I can use my finger to login and to access my saved, passwords.
