Nuke the odors in cars with this device. A negative is you can't feed in fresh air. But here's the instructions to get the odors out of cars, including smoke, BO, perfumes, bad smells, etc: PREP CAR: - Middle console open - Visors down - head rests raised - Carpets removed or rolled up stand up - Pull seat belts out. And pull all slack out and clamp it open. Seat belts can store a lot of gnarly odors-- especially old perfume smells. RUN 0) Car ignition on, AC on and recirculation and MAX AC set 1) Run 15-20 min ozone machine away from plastic 15" 2) Quickly turn off car. Close door. 3) Run 1-2 hours run ozone machine 4) Turn off Ozone machine. Close all doors. 5) Ideally let car bake in sun. Bake in sun for 1-2 hours. 5) Open car to air out for an hour. ... show more

    • Does A Great Job And Is Fairly Priced
About twenty years ago, I purchased an ozone generator to get the musty smell out of our basement. It worked well and since then I have used it about once a month when we are going to be away from the house for a few hours. One of my sons recently purchased a home with a basement and has the same issue. I grabbed this unit for him to use and it works well. The unit is as simple to use as it gets... just turn it on and set the timer by turning the knob to your desired run time. You can program it to run up to three hours. Personally, I always want to be away from the house for at least twice as long as I set it to run, so the house has time to air out some. When I get home, I open a couple of windows for about 15 minutes to get some cross flow and finish airing things out. If you’ve never used an ozone generator, you’ll be surprised how well it can eliminate odors form mold, mildew, musty books, etc. This unit seems well made and durable, has a small footprint, and is a nice value. ... show more

I initially acquired this JOTPE Onamor Ozone Generator for the purpose of getting rid of pet odors in a large area in the living room carpet. I had a particularly stubborn pet who refuses to be (or is incapable of being) toilet-trained. I placed the ozone generator close to her favorite spot on the living room carpet. Set it to run for 15 minutes, and then left the house. I then ventilated the house before everyone came back in. After an initial dry-run of 15 minutes, there is a very noticeable reduction in odors. Possibly, another 30 minutes would completely eliminate any offensive smell. Warning: When you intend to use this (or any other) ozone generator, all living things including people, pets and plants should leave the house while the ozone generator is running (sometimes called "sanitation"). Then ventilate the house for 30 minutes. Be aware of the CDC Warning: Ozone (O3) is a colorless to blue gas with a pungent odor. Exposure to ozone may cause headaches, coughing, dry throat, shortness of breath, a heavy feeling in the chest, and fluid in the lungs. WE have a great dane. Now she is a beauty of a dog, but man oh man sometimes this dog gets to smelling a bit. Our living room (as clean as my wife is), sometimes smells like dog. It's just not what you want when people visit. I saw this and was reminded of a machine I had bought a few years back, and had spent nearly 500 dollars on. I was a little shocked that this was so cheap and doubted how well it would work. All doubts are gone. I literally plugged it up and in ten minutes my living room smelled like we'd had a fresh thunderstorm. No dog odor, and the pleasant smell of ozone. We like the timer feature. High quality and high volume ozone generator. This unit activates with a dial knob that can be set up to 180 minutes (3 hours) before it has to be manually wound again. The dial also offers a hold feature selection which locks the unit on, this can be helpful for digital integration. This is a very powerful unit and within minutes the smell of ozone is noticeable and may make some feel sick. It does an excellent jobs eliminating odors. One of the more notable lack of features is anything digital on this device. However a digital timer or smart plug can easily be introduced to create run time intervals that may be more satisfactory for some users and schedules. I got this because my girlfriend has several cats and the liter boxes can smell after awhile. Even cleaning them often there is sometimes an ammonia smell that pops up and it is almost impossible to get rid of. I decided to give this a real test and ran it by the boxes. I was completely blown away when within 15 minutes the smell was gone. I could definitely smell the ozone, which you really have to be careful of since O3 can be bad for you if you have lung problems. If you're going out somewhere and just want to remove smells from your house, set the timer on this and let it run for a bit. It works amazingly. Do not run this constantly with either people or pets in the area as this can cause serious lung damage! The purifier works amazingly though. ... show more

I have another generator "rated" at 8000 mg/h and the ionization plate is this one is a bit smaller than the other. However, thats not really a concern as the functional difference is nil when it comes to destinking a crawlspace, car or the like. Really ozone is good for destroying odors, but you need to aware of the hazards to people/pets. An educated user should have no issue using this for its intended use. This is not (nor are any) and ozone sterilizer that will effectively get rid of mold, virus, etc. It works well for odors and musty smells which will stay gone as long as you address the root cause of the odor (typically smoke, dampness, etc). ... show more

This works wonders in old rooms with odors that won't go away. I couldn't believe how well it takes odors out in such a short time. It has a timer you can set up to 180 minutes, or can even set it to run continuously. I couldn't imagine a need to run it continuously, but you've got that option. I've used it in an old outbuilding and an unused RV and it works great. I like it so much I'm going to have to find places to use it ... you know, there's that old car out back .. later! ... show more

This is super easy to use, just plug it into an outlet, turn the knob to the desired time and walk away. Super simple. They included an extra fuse just in case, and a door knob placard to let people know not to enter the room/area its being used it. I used it in my car to get rid of a wet dog smell in it, and it worked like a charm, After the machine was done, the car now smells like the outside after it just rained. Yes, this works. I just think larger or more pronounced instructions would be available. It would be great to know in advance that this machine removes everything from the air including oxygen in the room it is in. So that is why people, pets, and plants are advised not to be in the room while this little machine is working. yes, getting rid of bad smells is good, but not taking the proper precautions (reminding people not to enter, yes, there is a little tag that says "do not enter"). But I am not sure what else is needed to stop people from entering the room while this thing is working. Maybe like a loud timer to let people know it is safe to enter. ... show more

This ozone generator is awesome. It is small, lightweight and easy to move around because it has a handle. This is supposed to do up to 2000 ft.². I put it in the basement by the litter boxes. I will run it when we leave the house for a while. It’s really important not to run it when people or animals are home because it can cause lung issues. if you’re looking for a device to read your house or office of awful smells, this would work really well for you.
