    • Stopped working properly
Bought this one because it last one (old style) no longer worked when we got it out of storage. This one worked great for about 8 weeks. It now goes to wall and sits. The one side closes and lights go from blue to white. Then just sits. No matter how much we nudge the other side won't pop open and it go the other way. Contacted customer support. Will update later if/when I get a response. Hopefully it is soon. I don't know now how my pool will stay clean. After spending all that money this is really sad. Update: after messing with it, putting it on charger trying to use it and almost giving up. I have got it to successfully work again. Sometimes it still does this and I have to follow it, turning it around at wall. The customer service did get ahold of me, wanted lots of videos, invoice pic, etc. and what they said might be wrong didn't make sense to the symptoms but told me they'd send me a label to send it back and when they get it THEN they'll ship a new one back to me. From the exchanges and the fact I have little Amazon back up since return window technically just closed, I don't trust it and at least I have something rather than nothing. $300 isn't exactly easy for me to come by and in the meantime my pool wouldn't be getting cleaned at all. Updated Review: Unfortunately this vacuum didn't even last me the whole summer. I just went to use it yesterday and it wouldn't move. Tried again today and same thing. It will no longer move. So unfortunately I cannot recommend that anyone buy this. At this price point I didn't expect it to last a decade, but I expected it to at least last the whole summer, if not two. I won't buy another one. Original Review: I received this a few days ago and have used it about 5 times already in my 18 foot round AG pool. For a small pool like mine, it really is a great buy and a tremendous time saver. I actually ran it 3 times today and it took me a considerably less amount of time in total to run it 3 times than it would have to manually vacuum the pool by hand. It is incredibly easy to use and maintain. It takes a few hours to get a full charge and once it does, you literally just push the power button on top and drop it in the pool. It sinks on its own and stays upright while sinking. After it finishes and parks, you take it out, release the two clips on the side of the body, lift the top off, and hose it right out. Takes all of 1 minute or less to clean it after a vacuum. Then you just plug it back in and charge it back up. I wouldn't be surprised if it took me less time in total to use this little guy ALL SUMMER than it would to manually vacuum the pool ONCE. Now lets cover the performance. It is nowhere near as good of a vacuum as a manual vacuum being run off your pump suction. If you are expecting that kind of performance, forget about it. Any large or heavy debris is not going to get picked up by this. Its not just the suction power, but I also feel that it moves too fast. They probably did that so it would cover a larger area, but if it moved at a slower speed, like half, it would probably do a much better job. At the speed it moves it ends up disturbing everything around it as it blows by, which makes it less effective. But given how long it lasts on a single charge, a small pool will end up being cleaned fairly well by the end of it. You will just have larger and heavier particles remaining that you will need to either live with, or vacuum manually. The good thing is, those kinds of particles don't really contribute to making your pool water cloudy, its the small stuff that causes cloudy water, and this thing does a good job with that. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase. In fact I'm sorry I didn't get one sooner. If you are like me and insist on your pool being spotless all summer, you won't be disappointed with this. At a minimum it will cut down on how often you have to vacuum manually. I'll probably only end up doing it once a month or so this summer. ... show more

The price of this product is amazing and it works good enough for the price. I do like the brand and this is the second unit I have bought from this brand but it didn't even last a season this time. I was very excited to buy this upgraded model because the charge time is shorter than the original one I have. The cover is easier to put on and it makes life easy to put it in the water every morning when I wake up but its not even a full season and it is already broken. I will attempt to call customer service and see if they can fix it. Buying a new model each season is cheaper than having weekly pool service but not cost effective in the long run. ... show more

    • Works pretty well but drops some debri
This is pretty great. We have a small, 13ft above ground, vinyl pool. I didn’t want to buy the other popular vacuum, Wanda, bc I didn’t want to have all of that hose in the pool. This is wonderful bc we just drop it in once a day and then pull it out and hose off the insides. The downside is that things get sucked up into these two little flap doors that open easily and often drop stuff back into the pool ... show more

    • Works ok but definitely not very good
I've used this vacuum several times so far. I'm not sure if the vacuum is just not strong enough or if it's just moving too fast but it barely picks up anything at all. I put it in my pool several times when I have had dirt spread all across the bottom and let it run its course. Every time it is done and I go to empty it there's barely anything at all in the tray. What I'm it seems to do more than anything is just stir everything on the bottom up and not actually suck anything up. I feel like if it moved slower it would actually pick the stuff up better. I really wanted it to work better but I'm considering returning it. If you plan to purchase make sure you keep everything needed to return just Incase you have a similar experience. ... show more

I have a 14” above ground pool. The seagull SE keeps getting stuck. It’s definitely for perfectly flat bottom pools only. If your pool has any wrinkles or bumps it will get stuck. The quality and design of the vacuum is very good and the customer service is AMAZING. They reached out to me to make things right, and gave me a hand held replacement that is more suited to my pool type. I appreciate that so much, good customer service is hard to find and they stepped up and made things right and followed up by email. I gave 4 stars because I think it would work great on a flat bottom pool and because the customer service. Thank you! ... show more
