I first had issues with the laptop immediately after turning it on for the first time. The original language was in French, and it was a struggle just to get the language changed to English. Customer support was no help. They had no idea how to fix the issue and told me to figure it out with the seller. I also got no response from the seller when I reached out to them for assistance. Ultimately, I had to fully set up the laptop in French before I could finally change the settings to English. Once I resolved that issue without help, the laptop worked great. During the 4 days that the machine actually worked, I was very pleased with the gaming speed/graphics, and the fans did a great job of keeping the laptop cool (the fans were a bit loud, but that is not something that bothers me personally). To be clear, this would be a 4 or 5 star review if I had not experienced the other issues. However, 4 days later the machine had completely crashed. I went to boot it up, and it immediately took me to the MSI Click BIOS screen. After attempting to troubleshoot it myself, I was unable to get it to boot normally, and it returned to the MSI Click BIOS screen every time I tried to restart. I once again called customer support. They were as helpful as they could have been this time, but after some additional troubleshooting, they told me that it was not recoverable and I would have to return it. While talking with customer service, it also seemed extremely likely that I was sent a refurbished machine. When they looked up the machine's serial number, they said it had originally been sold almost a year ago. The fact that it was already in French when I first went to set it up furthered my (and customer service's) suspicion. That being said, I am willing to give the MSI Katana one more shot with a different seller. I really liked it when it was working, and am hopeful that a brand new one from a different seller will not have the same issues. ... show more
