    • GREAT Value Laptop - Built Quality
-----OVERVIEW----- I love this laptop, as it is the most powerful and best value I could see for the price range. It handles many AAA titles very well and will do just about anything you throw at it. I've had this computer for over a year and a half with no issues whatsoever (will cover some negatives here shortly, but being a bit picky). -----ADVANTAGES----- I've ran plenty of games such as Battlefront 2, Minecraft with extreme graphics-intense shaders, Black Ops 3, Tom Clancy Wildlands, and many other games on high+ settings with at least 60 FPS if not more. In some games, I'll end up getting more in the 80-120 FPS range, although it really depends on your settings and more. I wouldn't expect this laptop to run many graphics-intense games at 4K on the most ultra settings, but at that point, you should be expecting to buy a PC, not a gaming laptop. Regardless, this laptop holds its own against my $1,600+ PC (at the time) with an RTX 3070, 64GB DDR4, 5+TB of 3800Mbps+ SSDs (some higher), AIO water cooling, etc... obviously, my PC has a bit of edge to it, but I will say that I get pretty comparable performance; especially for a "mobile solution" that I can take anywhere with me! -----DISADVANTAGES/BE AWARE----- As aforementioned, this laptop is absolutely amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone. However, some things to caution: 1) Don't expect this laptop to run without battery power for long. Unless I got a faulty battery/model, it's EXTREMELY power hungry. I wouldn't expect it to run for more than an hour or so (unless on low power and browsing internet/things that arent CPU/GPU intensive) unless connected to battery. If its not connected to a charger, I don't really use it as it'll be dead in no time. 2) The laptop won't run at full power (ESPECIALLY GPU) if you don't have it connected to power. Don't expect full output if you don't have it charging- you can graphically see how it switches "modes" for the GPU if you plug/unplug your charger. 3) The webcam is not all the best, but I barely use the webcam and would recommend getting another webcam if that's an intended use as well. 4) YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY buy a laptop cooling stand with fans. They're typically about $40, but trust me when I say that it will help protect your laptop. As a powerful laptop with limited space, this thing will heat up quick. I never run it without a laptop stand with fans, as it would most likely fry parts and lead to your laptop not lasting as long. -----LAST NOTES----- Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this laptop as a gaming laptop. As of right now, it'll run any game you throw at it and I've had no issues with it, especially being a modified laptop. The laptop is an AMAZING price for what you get, and if it's even a little bit more ($100-$300) than what you budgeted for, don't be on the fence too long. It's truly worth it and I recommend it, as an avid gamer/computer enthusiast. I'm not an expert by all means, but I've been playing with computers, coding, and gaming for 20+ years and I'm thoroughly impressed with the capabilities of it. The issues are more nitpicky/caution notes than anything. I seek to provide an honest review, so those are the only "negatives/downsides" I can point out. I haven't regretted a cent I spent on this laptop and you won't either! ALSO - The laptop charger (should) be a 5.5x2.5mm tip if you want to buy an extra charger. The charger I received with the laptop is still running just fine, but I always like backups personally. I haven't absolutely confirmed this yet, so use caution if ordering an extra charger, but this is based off of my research. Please feel free to correct if I'm wrong! ... show more

Excellent laptop. Does the dirty, difficult computational work I need it to do, and calculates complex simulations with a plomb.
