I bought this laptop for my upcoming high school final year, and it's great. It updates a lot so your system will be updated no matter what. It's lightweight and easy to use and great for playing minimal games. One thing I had trouble with was downloading apps and the way to fix this is by going into the settings and taking it out "S-mode" which then will allow you to install apps from anywhere on the web.     • Bought 2. One worked well and the other stuck in BIOS Update.
These laptops are simple, light, and packed with memory. 50/50 isn't bad odds when dealing with a low cost laptop. First one purchased runs fine and no problems. I bought one for myself and set it on my desk overnight and returned to a BIOS update that is stuck in the middle of the process. I have tried every way known to man to get into SAFE mode / BIOS setup. It is not happening. I took it to my local repair shop to see if they could get into the same and no luck. So here is the problem with this laptop. It doesn't work, my return window is open until 10/13/2023; however, when I go to process the return to Amazon there is no option to get it replaced with a functioning laptop. I can return it for FULL refund, I can diagnose the issue myself, I can watch help videos, and I can get live support to fix the item. I have a manufacturers warranty and a 2 year extended warranty. I am covered and eventually will get it fixed. No one should have to experience this with a brand new laptop. ... show more

I love the ease of using this laptop, and it is lightweight. However, it does not keep the correct time. My husband works in IT and has tried everything to correct it. However, whenever there is an update, the time and date stop working again. Otherwise, it works fine for the basics that I need.

Just received, so not 100% set up. Still need to connect to my printer. But so far I am loving my little LT. Easy to move files from Google Drive. East to set my favorites & desktop I know some bad reviews, but I dont need for gaming, just personal work, so this is perfect. Just got today. I did not have the issues of having to reset the computer like some have said. Easy setup. Comes with Microsoft office. Very light weight. Works fine! I can see why people say it’s “slow”. It’s just not lightning speed lol

    • Keys get stuck, no space!
Pros: great battery life, compact & lightweight, Cons: The keys get stuck. No space, not even for updates. I really love the battery life on the laptop. I've used it for 8 hours, and there was about 20% left, and it charges very quickly. It's compact, easy to fit in backpacks, and on small desks for typing. It's very light, I kept checking my bag to make sure it was in there, and the color was beautiful. I would have loved to keep this laptop and wish I could, but unfortunately, the keyboard kept getting stuck. The caps lock light would remain on even though it was typing in regular letters and would type weird characters. I googled the problem, and it seems as if the shift keys got stuck. So, after fixing that problem, it was another problem with the keyboard, and I had to google the fix. This occurred pretty frequently, and it got rather annoying. It was supposed to come with 1 year of Microsoft, but after 3 weeks, I got a pop-up message that said the Microsoft was about to expire. It was almost a MONTH of use, not a YEAR. Additionally, there was an update for the newest windows, but I did not have space. There is no way this laptop had 32 GB of ram. The system itself used up all the space, I had nothing on the laptop. I had to delete some of the items that came downloaded on the laptop, like solitaire. Even with enough space, the download kept getting stuck and starting over. Then it said it needed more space, so I got a flash drive, and the same thing happened again. I only had the laptop for about a month and contacted HP because it should have been under warranty. They informed me that the warranty expired on this laptop 4 months before I even purchased it. I was so frustrated. At this point, I want to return the darn thing. I was putting in too much work for a laptop that was supposed to make my life easier. I can see other customers have had a similar experience, so my advice to new buyers would be, if you don't mind these things, then go for it but there is an issue with the keyboard and HP is aware of the issue because they have fixes on their support site. ... show more
