Battery life is fantastic. I use it on the battery without noticing any drop in performance. Screen is a good size, video is clear and graphics are bright. Backlit keyboard makes it easy to use in dim environments and the amount of brightness is adjustable. It’s not super light but it is lighter than my other laptops. Could use more ports but having USB C charging gives me great flexibility when traveling. I might consider a MacBook Air the next time.

When Apple stores finish a model year, they empty the stores of the older merchandise. I guess all or a lot of it ends up here on Amazon. I got more than 25% off on a two year old MacBook Pro, new in the box, that had the exact same technical specs as the current year. I’m delighted! As with other Apples, the laptop doesn’t have a touch screen, but it does have touch screen-ish controls for things like volume at the top of the keyboard. I feel like I got all the bells and whistles.
