    • Better than I was expecting
I got the 3070 model with 1TB and 16GB. What I didn't know is the fact the R9 processor includes integrated Radeon graphics. I'm sure I read it somewhere and it never clicked. Why is that a big deal? Because you can set the device to turn off the RTX chip when you are on battery. The SOC from AMD is far more power efficient. Granted, you aren't going to want to game in that set up. But sitting on the couch using the laptop in "mindless browsing" mode, that is a wonderful, battery-saving addition I had not factored. The build is excellent. The body feels solid and the screen is crisp and smooth. I've never used a screen over 60HZ with Windows before and I am amazed with the 1440p 165hz model on this machine. I have seen reviews online about the display not being real bright but I must have come from a long line of dim devices because this thing is almost blinding to me. That said, I do tend to use a computer in a darker room out of preference. The trackpad is the best I've used on a PC laptop. The keyboard is good; better than my work Lenovo that annoyingly has the FN and CTRL buttons swapped. My issues: 1. The fingerprint sensor seems hit or miss compared to other devices I have used. 2 . The speakers sound a little muddy; probably because I think the sound is coming out of the exhaust vents. I have adjusted them a little, but they aren't the best out there. Definitely give the Dolby app a tweak off the defaults. 3. While not as bad as other vendors, there was still a good bit of junkware for my liking as I usually do completely completely clean Windows installs. And maybe that is what they are just including in Windows 10 these days. 4. Fans get loud when heavy gaming. Just get ready for it. Add that to the muddy speakers and I suggest using a set of gaming headphones Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase. It has been a long time since I upgraded my own computer as I was rocking an AMD FX with a Radeon HD 7900 video card which I used as supplemental heating in my office on cold days. I've now had this laptop a week and I'm highly impressed with the performance, speed, build quality, and features this laptop has to offer at an amazing price. I'm happy I bought this when I did because it's a hot item and everyone wants one so they are extremely hard to find them in stock. Pros: - looks nice - soft to touch - great screen - powerful hardware Cons - powerful hardware means nothing because it is not configured properly: I am getting Blue Screen of Death almost every time I try to play some game OR when laptop goes to a Sleep mode. BSoD can also happen after heavy calculations (I am a software engineer) - laptop gets very hot when playing games Fortunately I can perform most of my work tasks, like running IDE, running Docker & Kubernetes. This is the only reason the laptop is not in the bin place. I am thinking about replacing RAM memory in hope this may resolve BSoD issues. i bought this pc expecting quite the upgrade from my current desktop..... That didnt happen, this thing runs so hot, and in order to maintain heat you have to have this thing running like a jet engine so that the fans can keep it cool. Its a fine laptop i guess if you dont plan on gaming on it and are only going to be developing and or web searching on it ... show more

Overall I’m thoroughly pleased with this laptop and HIDevolution. When my laptop first arrived it was damaged in transit. Their customer service was really great in helping me get it fixed. I will definitely buy from them again. With the overall build and use of this laptop I highly recommend it. The fingerprint reader is sometimes a hit or miss but seems to be improving with software updates. This laptop does get very warm during heavy gaming use as expected, but it isn’t excruciating as the thermals are in a good range. I have not tried out the turbo mode as that would definitely put it on a higher temp range along with a higher boost in performance. The speakers are not downward facing which is a major plus. ... show more
