    • Illegal reproductions of Claude Monet
12 Claude Monet paintings, all immensely valuable, all from world famous museums. Not a mention of that in the calendar. No titles either. Some buyers think it is water colors. Some think it is Van Gogh. Neither is true. Not a mention who printed it. Not even a bar code. You have to pay royalties to the museum who owns those to put them in a calendar. Somebody in a village on Yangtze River (hint: that's in China) found a printing press and makes those and sells them on Amazon. Probably illegally. ... show more

This calendar is really beautiful. To start with the art is gorgeous if that’s your thing. So we’ll enjoy looking at each picture every month. The paper that the calendar is printed on is nice and thick...not at all flimsy. The daily squares offer ample writing room for notes and/or appointments, etc.. It’s has holidays and seasons. I got calendar stickers to mark appointments and stuff which leaves room for additional notes if needed. The one thing that didn’t register with me when I bought it but noticed it when flipping through the calendar was that it has 18 months!! Not only is it a beautiful calendar but we get to enjoy it for a year and a half...that alone was well worth the good price I paid. So if you’re into art and want a calendar that has more than the traditional 12 months get this one....it’s so well worth it. ... show more

I bought this calendar mid-year BECAUSE my 3 current better calendars are delayed in private shipping. Normally, I would not choose this calendar because I prefer details such as better reproductions and documentation regarding who is the artist, artwork title, size, year painted. This calendar is perfect for the masses who balk at paying 15-16 dollars for an arts calendar. You may just get what you pay for. The old days of me walking into a museum shop in February and March to buy higher quality calendars 50-70% off are over. Notice Amazon rarely reduces calendar prices and the remainders actually rise in price. You are best buying your calendars way way early, even pre-order, because your favorites may sell out over Christmas for the new year. For today I find this calendar excellent and I will keep it and use it. Thanks to the publisher of this economy calendar as some of us still need to see the calendar on the wall as our online calendars are not enough. ... show more

Large clear writing area, absolutely gorgeous glossy artwork, and it goes all the way thru June 2022 so a really great value! (And the extra months are FULL sized, not like those ones that say “18 months” but actually the last page is 6 months smooshed into half a sheet - this is the real deal!) Coating on paper is not slick so that writing smears. I use a sharpie pen and the ink dries quick. Daily squares leave plenty of room for writing in multiple notations. Pictures are beautiful. I typically purchase our calendars at dollar stores but this year I couldn't find the larger version and I was honestly tired of the super thin slick paper they are made with. Not only did this product arrive a month late, but it also arrived with a damaged (dented) head. To further add to the situation, the lights didn't work as advertised. There is a single on/off switch which conceivably would activate the timer. However, when I turned-on the lights using the switch, the lights came on but never went off. If there is some other timer mechanism or some other switch to activate the timer function, then it is not evident and certainly not incorporated into the instructions. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because overall, the item's appearance is as expected and looks nice at night (if it would just go off by the next morning). ... show more
