I was particularly looking for the 1T SSD hard drive which makes the machine fast with plenty of storage for programs and data. For the price, I wasn't expecting a lot but I have been extremely pleased with this purchase. It was very easy to set up, the computer helps you immensely. It recognizes all of my HP printers and has everything I need for my business. It does not have the camera necessary for Windows 10 facial recognition sign on, but it does have a camera and can do everything else. Signing in with my ID has actually been easier since half the time my old laptop didn't recognize me. Best price I found anywhere with the features I wanted and it was ready to ship and arrived in 3 days. Very pleased with my purchase.

UPDATE: I purchased this laptop in May. The rose gold color is beautiful and the laptop worked like a charm. After 4 months, I can not get it to turn on; just blinks on and off of the welcome screen. There were no spills, no drops, nothing like that. I teleworked all day, shut it down, and it never came back on. Since I also purchased the Assurion for $189.00, I contacted the seller and was informed I had to send it to HP. HP contacted me today informing me that the installed hard drive is not an HP hard drive and will cost $476.00 to repair! So with that said, my understanding is that the outside is HP and the inside is not! I am now struggling with the seller who has offered to fix it and I can only guess to install another non-HP hard drive which is unacceptable. I am on telework due to the pandemic and had to immediately buy another computer to be able to continue to telework and not be in trouble for lack of response to my employer. I will be filing a claim if no other options are available.

This thing is massive but super awesome if you're looking for a (very reasonably / i5) fast computer with a TON of storage, a large monitor, touch-screen and keyboard that is also easy to stow when not in use. Another big selling point for me was the dark keyboard with white letters. It is so much easier to see then the back-lit keyboard in silver (unless you're a vampire). :)

Great PC for quality sound, picture. and responsiveness. Very easy to set up and get running. My one dislike is that the RJ45 ethernet receptacle has a little tab that needs to be pushed down in order to plug in the lan cable. A call to the HP help desk was fruitless since they only referred me to the user doc which did not provide any guidance. Once I pulled down the tab, the cable plugged in easily. Something so simple in hindsight yet I had never experienced this before with my IBM or Toshiba laptops.

I purchased this computer in March. Less than 5 months later, the casing has cracked at the back edge of the DVD slot. This computer has not been dropped. It has been used on desks and on my lap. I picked it up the other day and it busted, warping on the bottom. After a couple of days resting on a hard surface without moving, the warping settled out. The DVD drive will still not open, however. While the computer is still under warranty, a crack in the casing is not covered. HP wants close to $300.00 to fix it. That's almost half of what the computer cost in the first place. I purchased a laptop for its mobility. Now, my lovely new super-duper computer is going to be relegated to desks and be covered in duct tape. I'm not happy.

Within eight months of purchase, the right bottom of the computer broke where the dvd drive is with no mishandling and on a hard surface immobile. Some months later, it broke on the right side where one of ports is, where the charger goes. The charger being inserted at all times is the only thing that is keeping the things insides from showing. I had to put the charger in to keep it together to keep the insides in. Yes I have a warranty has expired. But I want my money back I spent on this junk. But I know that's not going to happen. And the camera stopped working within a year. It comes on but shows no screen just black screen. The computer works otherwise. But, I'll still have to buy another one. Would not recommend this computer to anyone.
