Size: 1-2 Person Cooling Mattress Pad 63" x 27"

Features

  • Cooler sleeping temperature: Water circulates through the cooling pad, 27 x 63 x 1/16, keeping you from overheating while you sleep
  • Control temp: Feel 6-12 degrees cooler than your room. Set the fan to high F1 and continuous cycle D1, it'll feel like an ice pack! D2, D3, or D4 cycles provide less intense cooling
  • Easy maintenance: The Mattress Cooler requires you to add about 1 quart of water a day, and drain the water tank every 14 days. The Mattress pad should be replaced about 4-6 months
  • Helps your body recover: cooler sleeping assists the natural healing processes; helping with hot flashes, night sweats, menopause, back and body pains, and other sleep ailments
  • Low white noise: The fan produces a low hum. At it's highest setting F1, it produces 40 decibels of sound, which is equivalent to a very quiet whisper you might hear in a library

Description

Are you ready for something better than a cooling blanket or a cooling comforter for night sweats? Our bed cooling system will regulate your body temperature and provide you with a better night's sleep. A cooler bed helps you fall asleep faster, decreases insomnia, releases melatonin, and decreases the risk for metabolic elements. How it works: Chilled water circulates through a PVC vinyl mattress cooling pad. The chilled pad removes body heat, cooling you to a desired sleeping temp. After the water has absorbed your body heat, it's returned to the Mattress Cooler and recirculated. Setup: 5-10 mins 1) Place cooling pad between mattress and a fitted sheet. To cool yourself, place the pad from head to foot. For two people, place across the mattress between your neck and waist. Avoid placement near sharp objects or high friction areas where you get in/out of bed. 2) Connect cooling pad tubes to the cooler. Remove the top lid so you can pour up to 2 quarts of water into the Mattress Cooler. The water tank has a water level to prevent overfilling the unit. 3) Press "on". If you get an E1 error, turn off the cooler, add water, then power on. Cleaning/Maintenance: The system will use about 1 qt of water a night. To preserve your cooler, drain the system every 2 weeks. To drain, remove the drain plug under the unit. You can add up to 1/8 tsp of bleach to the water to keep tubes clean. Don't overuse bleach; it can damage the system. Tips: Place cooler higher than the mattress pad for better circulation. If you are having issues with the water overflowing, first try running it with less water in the tank. If you're still having the issue after, change the fan cycle to D4 when you wake up; it will prevent backflow. Cooling pads should be replaced every 4-6 months, friction will develop weak spots. A replacement pad is included and additional pads are available on Amazon

  • Very Happy About It
Size: Cold Flash
I chose this an an entry level item and for cost and the fact it was refrigerated rather than evaporative cooling. Mine came with a thick plastic pad and one that's like a thin quilt material. The plastic one was uncomfortable but will get use when I travel with it. Yep, I'll be traveling with it. The product has kind of a cheap feel to it but I'm all for saving money and don't understand the new trend of sending product in fancy, expensive boxes or dressing up the product to seem industrial when their is no real need. The product works! I live on the third floor of my townhome and if I keep the middle floor as warm as most like it, it's upwards of 80 degrees. I had been running a small air conditioning unit in just my room at well over $100/mo and happy to do so. My sleep had been improved without a doubt. This is much better. I didn't realize how well it was helping until I spilled a drink into the little control unit (this is where cheap is an issue, there is no seal around the edges and it's basically a sticker with some buttons on it) and it stopped working. My sleep was drastically affected. I ordered another unit. However, it stopped cooling after about a week. My first unit ran flawlessly for months. So, I've got another on the way since Amazon will graciously send me another. If you're on the fence about this purchase just do it. If you don't like it, send it back. I've researched all of the options and this is the most affordable, for functions, I've found. It's not just for the people who are experiencing poor sleep. Good sleepers will sleep better. There is an impressive amount of research on the benefits of cooling the trunk of the body and the improvement in deep slow wave sleep. Sleep nerds looking for a good read should look up "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker. ... show more

  • Works Wonderfully - Can get as cold as you need it - No sweaty hot beds anymore
Size: 1-2 Person Cooling Mattress Pad 63" x 27"
I love this bed cooler. I've had it for a little over a month and a half. Aside from minor cooling effects from copper infused mattress covers, none of the non-water bed coolers ever worked for me. Moreover, I am not in a position to afford the fancy does-it-all $600-$2000 water bed coolers. This was a God-send. I'm impressed that they made such a good product for this low price. That does mean there aren't all the automated bells and whistles, but it works amazingly well where it counts. I'm 6'3" and the mat fits from my shoulders to my feet, so everything that actually has direct contact with the bed. The material feels a bit like an air mattress, but when you put your fitted sheet over it it feels just fine. At the highest setting, I ended up getting way too cold, I mean frigid ice my leg cold, so the various cooling setting were helpful. I used a stand, put the evaporator in a small tray and anchored the stand to the wall since it sits right next to my feet when I sleep. From some of the other reviews I thought it might leak out into the tray, but I've seen no such leak in the tray I set it in. Every night, I simply fill it up with water up to the full indicator on the front. Once a week I add a rediculously tiny bit of chlorine to the water to prevent any potential growth thats possible with any open water system. I've no growth in the device or mat. The water still runs clear and clean. Like any fan it makes some noise, but it is suprisingly quite. I kind of expected to hear dripping water, but that has not been an issue either. We have a waterproof mattress cover/sleeve. We got a small leak on the mat where I've repeatedly stepped-on, pulled, and more. I've very rough with it, so I'm not surprised. However, like I said, it's like an air mattress, so a dirt cheap seal patch from Walmart is all you need. Plus, it came with an extra mat. Because of the waterproof cover, the tiny bit of water that came out dried up within 10 minutes with no damage to any part of my bed. I've been delighted with this product and even recommended it to my mom. The incredibly minor issues cited in other reviews are easily avoidable. Aside from keeping water on hand, I hardly have to think about it at all each night. If you want a nice cool bed all night, but can't afford the super-automated machines, you want this. Thank you 'Mattress Cooler' for making this available to me and my budget. ... show more

  • Lasted 6 months, then soaked my bed
Size: 1-2 Person Cooling Mattress Pad 63" x 27"
The bad: after 6 months of use, I discovered the unit had been leaking into my bed. There's an essentially invisible tear/puncture in the cooling pad right next to one of the ports for the hoses. When the unit is running, a steady trickle of water leaks from the pad. It seems fairly minor, but it soaked through my foam mattress topper over the course of the night. I've reached out to the manufacturer, but I haven't heard anything back. I'm not really expecting to hear much, as from other reviews I've seen they only claim a 90 day warranty on their product, so, I guess mine lasted twice as long as they're willing to stand by it. Yay? ((Edit, update: Their response was essentially 'you bought it through amazon, contact them'.)) It looks like there are replacement pads available, but I'm leery. I feel like I got lucky to catch it when I did. I see they sell replacement pads for 40 bucks a pop. Quick maths time: 18 months left (out of 2 years), A new pad every 3mo-6mo would cost ~120-240. Cost of a new unit: 160, so your total investment looks like 280-400. Still cheaper than the OOLER, provided you are willing to risk damaging or destroying your bed with mold. The annoying: it's a swamp cooler, so if you don't like added humidity to your room, tough luck. It also means you have to add one to two quarts of water (that's a smidge shy of 2L for the civilized world) after every night. If you do not, it'll probably run out in the middle of the night and either make horrendous gurgling noises or quietly shut down. The great: while it worked, I loved this thing. As a guy who prefers the temperature to be below 70 to begin with, I really appreciated it being able to keep the bed cool even by morning. I found it uncomfortable to sleep directly on top of (it's a plastic sheet with some firm edges) but the cooling effect is so strong I got benefit from it even having it beneath a foam mattress topper. If I can think of a way to keep using it, or had faith a replacement would last a while before I had to worry about it, I would. I never slept better than I did with this thing keeping me cool. ... show more
