    • Amazing refurb, well worth the price
This refurb is probably someone opened the box, said they didnt want it. Even so, its in amazing shape, absoltely no damge, no sign of usage other than not coming in the original box or with the original charger. Overall if you're debating on getting a refurb go for it. Absolutely no regrets.

I was forced to begin looking for another laptop after my Macbook Pro Mid-2012 is now “obsolete”. I stumbled upon this renewed unit, and my thoughts are below. Cons: - I wouldn’t say the laptop I received was in “excellent” condition, despite this being advertised. There were some little nicks and scratches (especially on the corners of the computer) that were visible to me even more than 12 inches away. Thankfully, the screen was perfectly clean and intact. - Aside from the cosmetic condition, I’d say it arrived kind of dirty. There were little bits of dust and grit upon opening, and I can tell that under the keys can do with a blow-out. - Mine came with 229 battery cycles, and 89% battery capacity. This is well within what is advertised, so I can’t complain. However, I saw other reviews where folks had as little as 20 charging cycles and 100% capacity – JEALOUS! Still, I got what was advertised. - There was no charger in the box, not even a generic one. I contacted the seller, who issued a $20.00 refund. Given that this charges with USB- C, I can work around this, but the inconvenience was unnecessary. - I wouldn’t say it’s a beast in terms of speed. While I do run some heavy apps like LogicPro X, the performance isn’t much better than my old Macbook (16GB Ram, 512SSD), which this laptop is intended to replace. Pros: - It’s fast enough, and it would be zippy for everyday usage and photo editing, light to moderate video editing, and light to moderate music production. There may be some struggle if you move into the heavy stuff, but it would still perform albeit slower. - The size and feel are nice. Had to get used to this, because it’s so much thinner and smaller than previous one. ... show more

    • Supreme replacement for me
Bought my first MacBook Pro from Amazon and it lasted me years, yet the battery life lasted maybe 20-30mins even right out of the box meaning it had to be connected to the charger continuously. Didn’t stop me from utilizing it, though. Sadly, it died, with the help of my kid deleting the HD, so I needed a new one. This thing is awesome. Battery lasts DAYS. I think I have to charge it (depending on usage) once every week or two. Definitely no complaints here. I realize this is a renewed laptop but to have it arrive and be filled with crumbs between the keys, between the screen and the keyboard, scratched front and back, the screen has a sizable smudge or ding, the charger is banged up and scratched, the cord is dirty….extremely disappointing.
