This is, by a good margin, the worst computer I have ever bought. I got it for my son as his first computer that was entirely his own. It was pretty much unusable out of the box. It is... breathtakingly, inexplicably slow. He uses Microsoft Teams for school during the pandemic. That takes a few seconds to open on most computers. On this, it takes several minutes. And it's not limited to that. It's not just a Teams issue. It is everything. It's like trying to use a computer from 2001 to run current software. Just achingly slow. I don't understand why it is so slow. I have tried everything from uninstalling software to resetting Windows. Nothing speeds it up. Had I realized how bad it was, I would have returned it, but he was away from home when he got it, and by the time he got back, it was too late. Now it sits in a corner untouched because the five-year-old desktop we have runs many times the speed of this junk. AVOID THIS WASTE OF MONEY!!! ... show more

    • Good computer, but they lie about the version of Windows.
Overall it's a good computer hardware wise. A bit of a cheap Hard Drive, but replace it with a SSD and then it is a very nice unit. The BIG negative is they completely lie about the Operating System on it. It's not a huge issue to fix; but a lie none the less. It says Windows 10 Home. it is Windows 10 S Mode. ... show more

Please if you’re reading this hear me out, DONT BUY THIS LAPTOP IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY! I’ve had this computer since the beginning of quarantine. That was around March 2020 but I haven’t been using it much and only recently did I start using it as I was still using my old laptop(an acer). Now I’m using my old laptop again because it’s faster than this new one... if you really need a computer I choose another brand. This is definitely my first and last Lenovo laptop I’ll ever buy. Quite frankly it’s just not very fast at all. I used the computer for college A few times and I struggled to load powerpoints! It can’t handle very much at all. I wish I would’ve opened the box and tested the computer back in March, then I would’ve known to have returned it. If you’re doing stuff, like office related or small docs or essays or a place to keep old pics from your phone, stuff that doesn’t require a lot of speed you could buy this and just squeeze by, but for this price there’s better ones out there... i’ve looked up YouTube videos on how to try to make this computer faster because of how slow it is... I downloaded one low graphics game and it couldn’t handle it... I saw people praise this computer for having the AMD Ryzen system in it but I guess it’s aged really badly in the last 2 years since it was released. And yes I know anything gaming related you should use a PC versus a laptop but I didn’t have the money for it at that time and I knew that the games that I might have wanted to play needed low processing power and were not strenuous at all, Games like asphalt just to pass the time in class lol. Even the battery life of this computer is really short. 3hours till it’s time to charge it again... Seriously for this price you could get a way better computer even from Dell or acer... in conclusion I would never buy another Lenovo laptop and I don’t recommend this one especially because of the price.     • Exactly what I expected
I purchased this for a friend of mine that was only interested in Gmail and limited browsing on Craigs List. This laptop completely fills his need. I disabled the "S Mode" (which took approximately 5 minutes) and it now has Windows 10 Home. He is completely satisfied and was very pleased with the price. I would not have purchased this for myself because I do a lot more work on my laptop and the lack of an SSD Drive would have disqualified it for me. ... show more

At first, i was kind of skeptical about this, cause it's not my HP, I like the fact that it's lightweight, has a pretty good display and it's fast (multi-core processor). It also has dedicated music keys and has very good speakers. What I didn't like is that it came in S mode (couldn't do anything on it until I took it off). Also, kinda skeptical about the frame. I first ordered a Dell and the seller jumped ship and I heard no word back about my order and had to send a cancellation notice. I then searched on Amazon for the best lap top deal. I can say this seller is very professional. This computer is a great deal and has unlimited features. My desk top is a dell and has lots of files on it but I'm using this only with external hard drive. This Lenovo came as stated: brand new in packaging. There were no problems finding needed parts or waiting for it to charge. It came with all software needed without hassle of install. I like the slim design and it's only a few pounds. while my desktop PC has Windows 10, this computer seems to have a nicer feel and level of comfortably.
