After two weeks i finally install everything and been using it a lot, at the moment everything is good, fast response, light weight, screen works and looks great, and everything according to the description. I have bought and used a number of refurbished Macs, so I definitely don't expect them to be like new when I receive them. I had a 2017 15" MacBook Pro in the past, so I am familiar with the keyboard issues with the butterfly switches. I expected to have some issues with the keyboard on this Mac since it uses the same type of keyboard switch. It turns out that it has issues with repeating keys (especially the Delete, Spacebar, and letter I) when the keys are only pressed once. This is not a deal breaker alone, so I kept the laptop and used it for a while longer. The laptop arrived with a Service Recommended notification for the battery, which was also not unexpected in a refurbished Mac. The charge still lasted a few hours unplugged, which was good enough for me. However, after about a month of usage, the battery life has drastically reduced and the laptop has shown signs of charging difficulties. I left it plugged in over night and woke up to a 1% charge - no change after about 10 hours. There are also some small scratches on the screen, but those are again expected in an older, used laptop. None of these issues on their own would be problematic enough for me to leave a bad review, but everything together makes me consider returning it. I have another month to return it, so maybe I'll give it a few more weeks to see if I'm satisfied enough. Don't get me wrong, the price was fantastic for the hardware I received. But I am a software developer and security researcher, so losing portability due to the battery life and having to frequently retype code and passwords due to randomly repeated characters is frustrating. The Delete key is especially irritating, as it will sometimes backspace over multiple characters at a time when I am only trying to correct a single one. ... show more

When it arrived, the MacBook was very well packed! This is my third Renewed Mac from Amazon. So I do know that there are going to be some minor defects or issues. That being said….honestly, I was impressed! It’s almost like new…with a small problem. When I went to remove the sticker on the laptop,(it had a sticker for inventory I’m assuming) the whole sticker and back portion of the screen aluminum side started to peel. Now, I did wonder why it felt a bit different than my other macs….and this was why. I really don’t think the seller did this on purpose, rather it was done by the original owner? To be fair, it was well done, almost didn’t notice it, until I started to remove the inventory sticker. Still not a deal breaker. Underneath was one scratch, most likely from normal use. It’s not a big deal, nor does it affect the how it functions. The MacBook is running in the latest OS, which I downloaded with no issue and also installed all my necessary programs with no problems! I do have a program that does bog it down sometimes, but I really feel that it’s how I’m using it not the MacBook. My only concern is the battery. Seems to die rather quickly for a Mac. But again, it’s mainly used at home for my music programs…and it’s very easy to switch out an old battery or memory on these machines (hint hint). The screen is perfect, no blemishes or scratches. And the keys show the tinniest wear, again, not a big deal. It did come with a new charger and cable! Brand new Apple charger! A big win! The last ones I bought came with aftermarket chargers and cables. Like I said, small minimal blemishes that really don’t affect performance and it looks amazing! I also did add a protective cover…Smokey gray! And it looks very elegant! Update! Still working just as well as the day I bought it! Worth every penny!😃😃😃 ... show more

there is literally like one little scratch, but you can’t even see it for real. so far it is amazing working fast, normal battery. everything is worth it. it came with charger as you can tell. i’m satisfied with my purchase!

I wanted to get an Apple Mac Book Pro with 512 GB and thought the new price was too much. Since I dont need all of the New Features yet I decided to try a refurbished 2018 Mac Book Pro. I got this for my wife for Christmas. She really likes it. The battery seems to last and it looked brand new. There wasn’t a visible mark on it. It took the update to the latest MacOS and has given her any trouble so far.
