I have used several of these types of products in the past and they have all worked well except for this brand. 1st the solder joint in the middle can not be crimped if you try to it will crack and break. 2nd the solder joint does not melt. I used a dewalt battery heat gun and an electric and neither would melt the solder. The joint would eventually shrivel but never melted the solder to bond the 2 wires. ... show more

one side of every connector already shrank smaller than being able to get a 24 gauge wire in and when melted the heat shrink burns before the solder melts making the connector usless

The solder was hard to melt, when warmed up the wires slipped apart easily. But i was working with some big wires. I got it to work but a product bigger, longer and more "heavy duty" word be outstanding. I am still glad I ordered the product.
