I use these for installing stereo equipment in my car, they were very well and are clean and tidy. The connections are good and no worry about getting loose or shorting to other wiring. I previously tried putting each wire into the connector and crimping. Well, that ended with 10 connectors being crimped and one or zero wires actually in the tube. I ordered these and learned this trick. Drop the connector over one of the wires. Then twist the wires together. Slide the connector over the wires and hit it with heat. I needed 2 connectors and I used 2 connectors. These work great. I needed these because one of my outdoor speakea stopped working. Turns out electrical tape did not keep the moisture out.     • Sealing Looks Good, but the Connection Was Not Consistent

I expected these solder seal connectors to make wiring repairs faster and cleaner, but they did not perform as reliably as I needed. The idea is convenient because the heat shrink, solder, and seal are all built into one piece, but getting a solid connection was more inconsistent than expected. Some connectors shrank and sealed fairly well, while others did not seem to melt evenly unless I applied more heat than I was comfortable using near small wires. The outer tubing also felt a little stiff, which made positioning harder in tight areas. For basic low-risk wiring they may be acceptable, but for automotive or outdoor electrical work where moisture protection and a dependable splice matter, I expected stronger solder flow, better grip, and more consistent sealing from connector to connector. ... show more
