  • Decent power from a small amp.
This is a nice solid feeling compact amplifier. It has HUGE power and ground connections so you won't need to worry about using adapters to fit 1/0 power cable. The speaker outputs are large too, and there are two pairs of them. It has all the controls you could ask for including variable bass boost and a variable subsonic filter. Although you can't disable that subsonic filter, the lowest setting is 17Hz, so you should be able to get the lowest notes your subs could produce if you really wanted. As far as power, it's pretty decent. I have it connected to a 2-ohm sub in these pictures and it did a max of 595Wrms. Now this is on a power supply (battery) that was pulled down to 12.1v during that peak and due to impedance rise from the sub, that output was measured at 3.8 ohms. At 4 ohms and 14.4v the amp is rated for 800W so it's at least close in my tests. (Adjusting for voltage gives you 707W). And honestly, nearly 600W of real output at 4 ohms is pretty high. It's higher than many other amps I've recently tested in the $100 category. If you had an electrical system capable of maintaining over 14v, and a few subs wired in parallel to keep the impedance lower, this thing would be in danger of splitting your windshield. Many amplifier manufacturers grossly exaggerate their wattage claims. There are dozens on Amazon that say 3000W or more that won't do 25% of that. I didn't test this one at 1 ohm, so I can't speak to that rating, but what I did get was seriously strong bass. The one knock I have against this amp is when it gets distorted, it gets real bad real fast. I've had many other amps that limit the amount of clipping to help protect your subs and also the amp. This one didn't appear to do that at all. When it clipped, it clipped hard. So that's something to keep in mind. It makes great power, and has lots of adjustments, but make sure to keep it from clipping or it will ruin your subs quickly. ... show more

  • Nice little amp!
I'm an audiophile. I have a decent setup in my barn, a big system in my vehicle, and pairs of studio headphones and monitor earbuds. I love music and the equipment that can reproduce it. I'm always looking for new toys to test, new builds to try, so when I saw this little listing I had to try it. It arrived in a nice box and contained the amp and the remote. It was in near-mint condition. This is a nice little amp! For the output it has a very small footprint. Always beware, though, with these really small monoblocks you have to make sure they have airflow; they tend to run very hot. Installation isn't any more or less difficult than other car amps. For you it will just depend on your vehicle and where you want it installed. I have an amp board in both of my vehicles, both with plenty of airflow, so I can just plug and play. This is a nice little amp! The output was fairly solid without clipping. I kept this wired to 2 ohms and did not run it hard, and there was a decent amount of clarity and definition. I'm not using the onboard controls with this, I have everything running through a DSP, so I can't swear to anyone else's experience out of the box, but for the price it's pretty decent. Overall I'm happy with this little amp. When I get some more time with it I'll try to remember to update this review. ... show more

  • Well‑Built, Well‑Performing Monoblock
The MZY2000.1D turned out to be a pleasant surprise. For a budget‑friendly monoblock, it feels exceptionally solid — no cheap plastics, no flimsy panels, and the cooling fins are substantial enough to inspire confidence during longer listening sessions. The terminal connectors and power inputs are also a step above what I typically see at this price point: tight, well‑machined, and easy to work with. In testing, the amp performed quite well. It delivered strong, stable power and didn’t show signs of strain or thermal issues. Unlike many budget amps that wildly exaggerate their ratings, this one actually feels like it might be capable of approaching its advertised output, at least for the loads tested (4 and 2 Ohm - I don't have a 1 Ohm setup for testing). Bass response was clean and controlled, and the amp behaved predictably across different loads. I didn’t experiment with the subsonic filter on this model, so I can’t comment on that specific control, but the LPF, gain, and bass boost all functioned smoothly and consistently (comparing to other amps I have tested). The included remote bass knob works as expected and adds convenience without feeling cheap or laggy. Overall, the amp gives the impression of being thoughtfully built rather than thrown together to hit a price point. In short, this is a well‑constructed, well‑performing monoblock that stands out in the budget category. If you want something solid, cleanly built, and capable of delivering real power without the usual corner‑cutting, this one feels like it hits the mark. ... show more
