Figured a solid test for this would be heating water in my bathtub, both because I really like hot baths and a bit of a prep option for winter. I managed to snag two, from different brands but clearly the exact same model specs and price range, and tested one first. Cold water filling the tub was around 74F, quickly reached 80 in 20 or 30 minutes but then it was clearly struggling to heat all the water and only raised up around 85 after another 30 minutes. Would probably get there in the 3 hours one of the instructions listed for 30 gallons but very slow for my primary purpose. So adding the second, with an extension cord outside the bathroom to a separate circuit for safety and practical breaker tripping reasons, and in another hour I had very nice 114F water. Yes, I like my baths just this side of scalding 😆 maybe 110F is a bit more comfortable but I wasn't checking constantly just occasionally. In short, it works well and is a very affordable price with the caveat that you can't just leave it since it has no real protections built in. For a much smaller quantity of water it should work quite quickly as well.

WOWOWOWOW!!!! I can't believe how fast this works!! 🤯 I filled a six gallon bucket with hose water (50 degrees) 30 minutes later the water was at 102 degrees. I am so impressed by this heater.
