Used it directly on the power cord to bypass a burned out switch on a ShopVac 6.5hp hawk model, which was discontinued. As other reviewers pointed, had to bend the switch spade terminals to fit the insulated female connectors in order to force the enclosure snug. One other thing which would’ve been great - the switch lights up when it’s on and goes dark when it’s off.     • Renew a vacuum
this product was used to replace the original switch for a Craftsman 16 gal. wet/dry vacuum. those parts are no longer available. due to the startup amperage, I could not use a 15amp. switch, which are readily available. This is the first inline 20 amp. switch I have seen.

This inline switch requires that you strip and add wire connectors to connect to switch. I am a electrician and had the correct parts to accomplish this. one area of concern is that the housing does not provide the correct amount of space for the connectors. so a little bit of adjustment as you have to bend the connectors to get connector to fit inside of the housing provided. see photos. ... show more
