It is very sturdy, looks like it's built to last a while and it's super easy to put together / take apart. It's a bit heavier than I expected but in a good way, like it's strong. The pipes are pretty thick and the base legs are a good distance apart that you don't feel like you're gonna have any issues with it moving around or anything while in the hammock, even if you're a bigger guy! My only issue is that the hammock I got to go with it was a 55inch spreader bar rope one and when you are getting in and out, the spreader bar can hit/get caught on the stand.. not a big issue just a tad annoying. Doesn't affect getting in/using the hammock though and doesn't make it difficult to get out.. just figure it's not the best to have the wood bar hitting the metal a lot.

For starters, if you’re looking for a really good stand (stand only), stop looking, and buy this one. First, the packaging was stellar. All parts were individually wrapped and care was obviously given. Second, assembly takes about 10-15 minutes for 1 person. You will need a 9/16” wrench (or socket), but the instructions are easy, there’s no extra parts, and everything goes together like it should. Lastly, I read a lot of negative reviews about some stands. It’s too bad, but that’s not the case here. The steel is powder coated and thick (probably 10-12 gauge). All of the connections line up. The stand is solid.

I fourn the assembly a bit taxing but it worked, The foot base Plastic units are waste! The siae was too small for a larger Hammock. To return is gong to cost me more than it is worth. So much for standing behind their product. As far as portable and the travel bag. Not really worth it to take down and package in carrier to reset up. Knowing what I do now I would not have ordered. The return policy was slow and is of no use.

This is a pretty decent little stand. I managed to put it together in about 15 minutes by myself and it was easy to get it where I wanted it in the yard in spite of my grass being a bit tall. There are different ways to attach a hammock depending on the size of the hammock. Unfortunately it is still too small for mine, but I opted to buy a new hammock instead of replacing this because it's sturdy and much better than my old one.

I PUT this together with no help in less than 30 minutes with no tools. It's very sturdy yet light enough to move around. I planned to put in back yard under tree but assembled on patio and thought leave it here and read a book in the rain. it's a decent size so a bit crowded but easy enough to move if having people over. it has nice pin lock ( that's my official terminology). really like it. I have always wanted a hammock but would never feel secure with a tie to tree style. this is very sturdy with have chain.

Just my luck. The tubes that make up the base of the hammock come in two halves each. One of these is properly sized and connects no problem, but the other has the same diameter as the half it's meant to connect to; it's missing that narrow groove that lets it slide in to the other tube. Awaiting response from the seller. Edit for June 26, after contacting the seller they were able to get me a replacement that was properly built. Strongly appreciate the effort and patience on their part to resolve the issue, customer service was excellent in working out a solution and keeping me updated!

This was exactly what I was looking for. It does have a bag so you can take it with you, but it is also very heavy. Because it is heavy I don’t worry about it collapsing while in use like I would a rope tied around a tree, but I don’t know how eager I would be to pack this with me on a hike. But to just drive to a campsite and assemble it you would be fine.

I was able to assemble this hammock stand myself (and I am not the handiest individual). Very sturdy. Materials look as though they will last long and hold up to wear and tear. The appearance of the hammock when assembled is ... not typical ... a little peculiar. I assembled this hammock stand with Zupapa Large Cotton Rope Hammock Upgraded Bamboo Foldable Curved Spreader Bars, Double Hammock, recommended hanging distance: 13 - 15 ft. Worked well mostly, except the hammock is quite high off the ground (maybe 3+ feet) when unoccupied. I am only 5' 3". So It's a bit of a challenge to get into the hammock. Using a chair helps. Once I get in the hammock, the ropes stretch and the hammock sinks to a comfortable few feet above the ground. Comfortable. Sturdy.
