This thing is so cheap but is still a pretty hardy tent. I have used it several times and it is just as good as a much more expensive tent. It’s not waterproof or anything, but it is surprisingly big for such an inexpensive tent. It fits two people easily, and you can even have a third person in there, though it is kind of a tight fit. Tent material feels thin and is not insulated enough to keep you warm in icy weather. But I have bought tense for five times as much with the same qualities, and frankly, it’s the sleeping bag that’s gonna keep you warm. During the summer, the mesh panels help to keep it cooler. This is the perfect tent for someone who wants to camp casually or for children. Makes for an absolutely excellent gift. I have bought five now, and it is perfect for family trips. I originally came across this tent because I saw a YouTuber, Kevin from Small Plots Camping, mention that he hated the tent he purchased for under $15. Later, while browsing Amazon, this tent popped up. The one I found was actually $25, not the $15 he paid, but I decided to give it a try anyway. So far, I’m pleasantly surprised. I haven’t had a chance to test it in the rain because the rainy days keep falling on days when I’m working. However, I did a backyard camping setup with my niece and I was impressed with how spacious the tent is. It can comfortably fit two people, and I could possibly see three people fitting inside. It looks like it could even accommodate a full-size air mattresses pads or two smaller twin mattresses pad !As you can see in the video, there is a lot of room inside. The bottom is made from a somewhat tarp-like material, which I really like. I currently have it set up on concrete, so it’s laying flat as it should. The only thing I would change or add to improve this tent is a few more hooks around the top or sides for hanging things. I improvised by using the strings that are meant to hold the doors open. I tied my lanterns to them, and honestly, it worked out great. As you can see in the video, I initially had one lantern hanging in the middle, but I eventually moved it and used the strings on the left and right sides instead. Overall, for $25, I’m actually pretty happy with this tent so far. It was easy to set up, spacious, and worked great for my backyard camping experience. I still need to test it in the rain before I can give a final verdict, but so far, it has been a fun and fabulous little camping tent. The durability on this tent seem to be somewhat reliable privacy is good. It’s not transparent ventilation on my end. I think it was great. I had some funds inside as well as some portable small fans. Kevin actually used it in the rain so that’s how I know it was rain worthy and you can see it’s sealed from the video that I took so it shouldn’t have any leaking or anything, but I will update you guys because rain will be falling this week and I have it set up left in the backyard. I have some weeds on it so it doesn’t fly away because like I said it’s on concrete and it’s been windy this past few days in New York. ... show more

    • Winter weather preparedness!

I bought this for when (not if) the power goes out and it's really cold out. That happened a few weeks ago and without my dogs, I'm sure I would have frozen to death. Along with a kerosene heater, I bought this tent... to go on my bed (queen size). I have never put a tent together and I was in a panic looking for instructions, but found none. Then laughed at myself when I saw how EASY it all went together!!! It fits perfectly on top of my bed. I climbed in and called the dogs (boxer/pit mix - both over 100lbs). We all fit (I'm 5'9")!!! Within a few minutes, it started getting too warm!!! While I wouldn't trust this for anything really serious, I'm happy with it. It works perfectly for what I need. The material is pretty flimsy so I'll keep my gorilla tape handy around dog toe nails!!! I feel like it would be really easy to cut through. For kids doing the back yard and/or living room camping... this is perfect. And for the price, you really can't go wrong. For a vacation... nope. Super basic camping tent. The size is small but can squeeze two people, like most things depending on size (comfortabley under 5 foot 10). Zipper quality was descent. Fairly sturdy. Let's be truthful this is a cheap basic tent. I paid under $20 (I would not pay more) for it for backyard camping. Would I be confident it for taking it out (other than my backyard) for more than one night in dry conditions, no. Seriously, if you want something super sturdy, without of fear of leaking or the zipper breaking, do your research and spend more money. This is a BASIC great for backyard sleeping.     • Did the job- but fell short

I hate to only give it three stars, because it did the job and was really a decent price, but it was very small. I saw the measurements and assumed that being 5’4” I would be OK, but with a pillow I pretty much had my foot bent at the end of the tent all night. I camped with a kid so we fit perfectly fine, but two adults would be quite a stretch to be called a two person tent. This would be a good fit for kids. I really loved the mesh front, because it allowed us to still have a lot of breathability and be able to see the sunrise. It wasn’t fully waterproof and although it didn’t come seeping in, the water from a light rain and some dew in the morning seeped through the tent and made the walls drip. We fortunately stayed mostly dry all night, but the edges of all of the tent were very wet, and if you touched the wall of the tent, you got wet. So if you plan on buying the stent, make sure that you get a rain cover of some sort. ... show more

I bought this tent for winter storm prep in case of electricity loss. It’s approximately the size of a queen size mattress. Although I placed it on the bed, I would plan to use it on the floor with an air mattress inside. For under $30 it’s nice insurance for winter storms. The fabric is similar to umbrella fabric, I doubt it would be durable for regular outside use. ... show more

Be mindful that this is a TWENTY DOLLAR TENT!! That being said, it comes with no instructions. However, if you have ever set up a tent before, the rules are still the same. If you’ve never set up a tent, it’s still simple. It does include stakes which is nice and a rain cover for the roof. I like how there are ties to tie open the flaps to keep them out of the way. Plus there is a small pocket on the inside for your phone and maybe wallet. There are nice ventilation options for a cheap tent. You can close the front entirely or just close the mesh section to allow for air flow. There is also a small mesh section in the center of the roof to allow for heat to escape. I would imagine two people would be uncomfortable. However, since I’ve used tents before I pretty much expected that. I typically will divide the person rating in half for my own use. For example I wouldn’t use a “8 person tent” for more than 4 people. This is just my personal rule of thumb. So the size didn’t surprise me. It is thinner material, but keep in mind it is a $20 tent. I was able to set it up quickly and one of the most surprising things was that I was actually able to put it back in the bag it came with. Not bad for the money, realistically. Good quality, and surprisingly strong, and stable. Survived 30-40mph wind gusts during storm. Pros: Easy to set up (took 10 minutes which included unstaking it, rotating it, then restaking) Easy to operate (when inside, zip down the main door, zip down the inner mesh net, then zip across the two bottom parts of the inner mesh net) 1 small storage pocket inside Strong enough to weather at least 2 nights of storms (our weekend trip had a few unexpected nights) Cons: Not 100% rain proof (it dripped a few times from either the mesh top with the mini tarp, or the seems) No hangers or loops inside (for lights or carabiners, ect) 1 small storage pocket inside Very small rain tarp included ... show more
