I took a gamble based off others reviews and won! This was a great cheap tiny tent bought to camp in a windy field in the summer in Washington and worked just fine. It lightly rained 1 night, and although things stayed dry, the tiny rain-flap wouldn't do much if it had been really windy. Also, I don't think it would've held up well in strong winds because the tent poles are on the flimsy side. Yet still were strong enough for me to drape a light-up cape over it to help find my campsite at a music festival! Just got really hot inside the tent in the sun, and would be soooo much better w/even a tiny window on the other side for circulation. And even just a couple more inches on the rain flap would make it less of a gamble. Oh yeah, I am a 5'5 person and slept diagonal I think if your 6' you'd not be too happy, but shorter should be fine by yourself. I'd only call it a 2 person if they are kid sized. I've backpacked in the Sierras for more than a couple decades. I own more backpacking tents than I care to admit...looking for the perfect tent...but there isn't one because there are always tradeoffs...usually weight/price related. Like many backpackers, reducing the weight one carries is important. This is a very good tent for what it is. Yet I feel compelled to point out this tent has it's limitations. It's walls are water resistant, not water proof. If you have any expectation you'll encounter more than a very brief shower you should spray the whole thing with a "Scotchguard" waterproofing type product (several coats). Also true old school "rain flys" would cover the whole tent, not just the ceiling vent. Tents do not provide "warmth" (or even insulation) since their wall materials are essentially almost "paper thin" to save weight. Depending on their construction they can provide shelter from wind, precipitation, bugs and small critters....plus they provide privacy. Now to this tent's design, it's "rain fly" DOES prevent rain from entering the tent's ceiling vent but even more importantly it ALSO lets moisture (water vapor) from your respiration(breathing) to escape instead of condensing on the inside of the tent's walls overnight....without the vent the inside of your tent and everything in it could(would?) be coated in moisture/condensation the next morning. In my experience it's good to leave the tent's fabric door (not screen door) open a bit to help the air flow through the ceiling vent keeping the inside moisture/humidity lower. Remember the tent doesn't keep you warm, that's what your clothes and sleeping bag are supposed to do....different subject for a different time. It's also not a 4 season tent, depending on where you live it's best as a late spring to early fall tent. I rate this tent 5 stars because it's well done for what it is and for it's low price. ... show more

Recommended for children or smaller adults if for single or double use. I like how light weight and versatile it is. No leaks and pretty durable. With summer coming up. And a house hold full of boys. I was looking for a tent small enough to fit in our living space/ boys room and big enough to fit all 4 kids and our dog. The first day we received the tent. All four kids and dog. Spent the whole day playing in the tent. It was an easy build for my 9 and 7 year old. And easy to put away. I would say the material is a little thin. When putting the tent up on the first day, the tent ripped a little trying to put in the poles in. ... show more

Update: Found a manufacturing defect where the seam in one corner of the bathtub floor is incomplete. Not torn, they just missed with the sewing machine. Order with enough lead time to set it up at home and inspect it before taking it out to the campsite. This tent is a simple 2-pole dome, easy to set up by oneself. It's just barely large enough for me (5'7") and a duffel bag; it's a "2-person" tent only if you have two people who don't care for personal space and have no gear. Or, if the two people in question are 3 years old. This tent was purchased to be a play tent of larger footprint and greater durability than the play tents available - as a bonus it's cheaper and suitable for outdoor use. My twins fit into it with plenty of room for a great many of their toys, and they can stand up inside (taller of the two is 40 inches). For actual camping/outdoor use: it has a bathtub floor so it should remain dry. There's a teeny tiny rain fly that could be mistaken for a gear loft if you are accustomed to fully featured tents. There are two small vents at the top that the rain fly protects, and the door has a mesh layer to act as additional ventilation if needed. The waterproof layer of the door has a wide flap to protect the zipper from rain intrusion since it's not protected by the rain fly. Overall, ventilation may be a concern when the door is fully closed; might end up with condensation on the inside. There's a small bag included with aluminum stakes, but no bag for the poles. Overall, this tent is a good option for 1 average-or-shorter adult who needs a cheap tent for infrequent use, or a great option for a play tent for kids. ... show more
