  • Fantastic!!!
Does EXACTLY what it says. I used to build these myself until now that I can buy them at this price!!! Perfect for any speaker-level to line-level conversion. They even have "transformer" isolation!!! Fantastic product, I can't say enough good about it!!! I have bought four of them so far. Have used them in automobile applications for feeding line-level to full-range amps and subwoofer amps. These DO NOT have a subwoofer filter in them, they convert the ENTIRE audio range. A subwoofer amp will have it's own filter in it so that won't be a problem unless you are using a regular (non subwoofer) amp as a subwoofer amp. In that case, you are going to need a low-pass filter to filter out all but the subwoofer frequencies. ... show more

  • Great product for the price
The converter is just what I needed especially in a package of two. I have a system in my truck and in my SUV each one works great. Had no problems. Was easy to connect from my factory head unit to add an amplifier and a 10 inch woofer just for little extra base. Great gain control

  • Worked for me!
For my project it was exactly what I needed. And having a spare for the future is awesome!

  • Adapts speaker-level voltage/ impedence to "line" level amp input -- works
My application: take subwoofer amp input, off of amp speaker output. I was going to use just a resistor, or voltage divider (two resistors). And you can find web suggestions on that approach. But these were inexpensive, in a decent packaged unit, and look more sophisticated with little transformers and caps (capacitors), A web search turned up lots of pictures, from other sellers of this same "V8 Impedance Converter", but no documentation. 1. There appears to be two channels per unit: two pairs of input wires, two RCA ouputs. The visible circuit board seems almost two copied halves. However on each of my units, only the "white" side works. That's enough for me, but I wonder about the "red" side. Is it defective? On both? Some kind of high-pass filtered output? 2. One does not want to force a pot (potentiometer = variable resistor) past its stop. The pot on each channel moves one quarter turn. Mine came fully counter-clockwise. Fully clockwise is its maximum volume. 3. Every device has its own impedance vs. frequency profile. I didn't notice anything obviously bad about this, but haven't analyzed it quantitatively. 4. Main negative observation: the input wires. These are not copper, probably aluminum (?), stranded, and very thin. My original plan to attach to speaker wire was just wire nuts, but now probably need a screw strip to connect. Which mostly obviates the packaging advantage. Even to open up to solder more substantial wires, the circuit-board has only tiny spacings. Cheers ... show more

  • Best Line Output Converter Out There.
Literally the best converter I've ever used. There is not 25 silly little extra wires on this thing, there is left speaker and right speaker positive and negative. That's it. No power, no ground, no "remote" which is extremely weird for a line output converter anyway, nothing other than positive and negative. I bridged my left and right together also since I'm just running one rear sub. Output is clear, no distortion, no weird clipping, no frequency dead spots, it's awesome. And for $7 you get two of them. ... show more
