Perfect for my small pizza oven, use light flower or cornmeal to keep the dough from sticking and it slides right off into the oven. The tapers edge is great for sliding under the pizza when removing from oven.

Review updated. The seller offered a refund based on the review below. Not sure why since the intent of the review below was to say these are good, but you need to use your head and do a little sanding so they don't chip on the edges. So we upped the rating to 4 stars and bought 2 more with the refund. You still need to use a little brainpower and realize these will chip if you don't do a little sanding. Oh and seller.... if you want to refund this second purchase, we'll buy another set and up the rating to 5 stars. But we still have to say they need 2 minutes of sanding! Grin! Yes, these are simply cut out of good 5 ply plywood. All edges including the front edge are sharp and unsanded. Use your head and think what can go wrong. Take a little time to sand the edges and front nose so it doesn't chip out on the front, add some mineral oil to keep the grain from raising when you wipe it off and they are very serviceable. ... show more

Wood seems to hold the flour better so the pizza slides a bit better IMHO. It’s light weight. It’s plywood so I’d question soaking it in water to wash it. The edge on the front to slip under the pizza is a bit rough. A little sanding to smooth things out and soften the edges made it perfect. When we do pizza nights I use 4 of these so each get their own. ... show more

These are terrible, they start splintering with long-term use. If you need a pizza peel that is somewhat disposable than these might be a good option, if you need a long-term solution, these will start falling apart quickly.
