- Adjustable Backlight Time: Our upgraded watt meter has 5 options of backlight time. The default backlight time duration is 10 minutes(bL-0). If you want to change the backlight time, you can press and hold "UP" and "DOWN" button at the same time to enter backlight time setting, then press "UP" and "DOWN" to select the backlight time (bL-0 =10 minutes, bL-1=1 hour, bL-2=4 hours, bL-3=8 hours, bL-4=always on), finally press the "COST" to save the backlight time settings.
- Overload protection: When the power of the appliance exceeds the overload power, the LCD will display OVERLOAD to warn the user. All the buttons will quit working and can only be workable when you lower or remove the load power. The default overload power is 3680W and is adjustable from 0 to 3680W. In general, you need to set the overload power to 1800W before using. Just press the "function" button for more than 3 seconds to enter the setting.
- Data Memory Function: The wattage meter will record your power consumption data when you remove it from socket, or remove appliances from the electricity monitor. You can directly see the last data when you use it next time. This function can also automatically save the data when there is a sudden power failure.

I feel price informs value and try to include the price paid in all my reviews. I highly recommend everyone do the same. In this case, I paid $19.34 for the 2-pack on 11/4/23. If you are reading reviews of power meters, you already know why you want one. This particular model is a good successor to the old Kill-A-Watt meters. The KW brand still exists, but have priced themselves out of the game. Pros: These meters have a large, bright display, easy controls, and are (within my ability to test, which makes them fine for the home gamer) very accurate. These will track all the usual real-time info: Volts/PF/Watts/Amps/Hz etc. And they have a nice cumulative power consumption option that is missing on some of the other lower cost meters. This feature is great to find how much item x is using over a day or a week, etc. I use them to test battery capacity for my solar system and they work fantastically without the need for uni-taskers equipment like a coulomb meter. Cons'ish: Version - Make sure you get the model that says "Updated". There is an identical looking model that doesn't have a backlight, nor does it have the ability to reset the watts over time count without a "press the button in the hole with a pen" method. If the pictures shows the blue backlight, you are all good, but I find the old version pretty much useless and didn't' realize till too late to return. Size - These are pretty big. Lots of scenarios where they will block the other outlet, etc. Easy enough to work around, but worth noting. Summary - I've got several of these and couldn't be happier. I use them at home and work and have never had any trouble with them. They handle 15 amp loads without any issue as well. I would definitely recommend when on sale around $10/per.

I got this to survey various appliances and utilities in my house in preparation for installing a custom solar system, so I know exactly what loads each item presents to my inverters. I have an older unit that also reads this information, but this unit has a much easier-to-read, cool looking display, and automatically records low and high power drain levels, as well as current and even will calculate the use cost if you input your individual electricity rate. So now rather than having to watch my older unit during status changes in an appliance to determine peaks and lows, I can just plug this unit in and come back later to gather the info I need. Looks cool, feels well built, great display and very useful, easy to use functions at a reasonable price. Nice.

Works well. Can't speak to accuracy, but it is easy to use and check instantaneous wattage or kWh's over a long duration to monitor appliance electricity usage. Biggest complaint is the large form factor makes some outlets harder to use it on.

Super easy to install - just plug it in and add your device. In my case, I plugged in a workbench power strip. As I bought up different computers, I could monitor the power draw of each one on startup and idle. It is a very handy tool when you are trying to determine these metrics. The display has a backlight that is really easy to use. I can read the display from about 10 feet away. I love the low cost, too. It is very inexpensive and I'm going to buy a few more for around the house. I bought one that was 3x the price of this one, but this one did all I needed it to do.

I have only used this meter a few times, but it seems to work well to check out my generators, voltage and frequency. It is limited in wattage measurement!! I have not used the other features yet!! I was able to figure out how to use most of the features and. I like the short extension that it comes with, This makes it more flexible to connect and use! It is good to check out power usage of equipment so you don't overload your generator!!
