  • Worked great on tires
Worked well, but it takes several coats. I cleaned the tires with rubbing alcohol first and then applied three light coats. It’s a little streaky so it seemed to cover the best if I made longer strokes without stopping mid-letter. The first photo is the before and the second picture is after, along with some wheel shine. Like others have suggested, have a paper towel handy and press the tip into the paper every once and awhile to advance paint while absorbing some of the excess. Take your time and with a steady hand it works well. ... show more

  • These are not marked, but real paint.
My neighbor lent me one of these to touch up some lettering on a sign that stays outside. Really a neat idea to put paint inside a pen.

  • shows up well on black planter containers
I've got multiple uses for these but the most often used, is for marking plant names on black container pots in greenhouse. We grow a lot of different types of veggies & these help keep everything straight.

  • Updating review
I had originally posted that the markers didn't work. I wanted to update my review and apologize to the seller. The markers work and are perfect for what I wanted them for. The problem was I wasn't priming the marker correctly to get the paint to the tip to be able to write. Thank you

  • Works great on tires
Painted the lettering on my new tires, did two coats and it rained for a week straight. The lettering is still there and didn't diminish in the rain at all. Not sure why sheerness is a measure on this product; it is not see through, nice and covered

  • Disappointing from Sharpie. Always my go-to brand but I got a bad batch I guess.
One works a little bit now, after a LOT of shaking and manipulating the seemingly dried out tip. Not sure if this batch was expired or what but it took forever to get it to work. And the other pen was totally dry. I took off the hardened tip and there wasn’t even any liquid paint inside, it had all dried or was empty. To their (or Amazon’s) credit, I was credited for the defective items. I think it was Amazon that stepped up with their A to Z Guarantee. But I will still use other Sharpie products. Most likely just a random defect, as Sharpie is usually great. ... show more

  • Not sure what sheerness is.....
Good product. Have done 2 tires (COOPER AT3 DISCOVERER) and still on 1st tube. Goes on easy & dries fast.

  • Great for white lettering tires
I purchased this white oil based set of markers to outline the letters on my truck tires. They were black walled and I just like white lettering, I thinks it adds to the whole look of the truck. If you need to touch up your white lettering they are a good idea. I don't know how well it will hold up to the elements so I'll do an update at a later time. I had no issues getting the markers to work, easy, just be careful and have a paper towel handy to soak up any excess when you pump the marker to draw the paint down. Once any excess is blotted up off the tip, you're good to go. ... show more
