I've installed the lights on my travel trailer and works great as of this review. The remote sensor is very weak and you do have to be right in front of it for it to recognize the transmission. That is a little disappointing. Any more then 2 to 3 feet and it won't recognize the functions that are being attempted. But as of now i am satisfied with the purchase. Will update this if needed in a reasonable amount of time used.

These have a lot of possibilities; both color and brightness are adjustable using either the remote or the mobile app. With the remote, there are 20 different colors that can be displayed and 4 brightness levels. The mobile app has finer control over both. You can set the string to stay on a single color, cycle through multiple colors. There are music synchronization functions; I was not able to discern any synchronization to various pieces of music played. The power dongle has a built in microphone, or from the app you can set the synchronization to access your phone's microphone. But as far as I could tell, it's just rapidly flashing through a bunch of colors. It doesn't flash faster or slower with the music's rhythm. The product comes with a couple different power supply options: a standard 12V automotive plug, and a wire with bare leads at one end and a coaxial power jack at the other, so you can tap into whatever power source you have. I used a third option, which was a standard 24VDC wall wart (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F13CN4XB) and it worked fine. The product photo shows the coil with multiple colors displayed simultaneously. I have not found a way to do that. From what I can tell, all LEDs on the strip receive the same RGB signal from the controller; they are NOT individually addressable and will all be the same color. If there is a way to do it, they've hidden it pretty well.

Pretty standard LED light strip and remote. The remote is one of the larger ones I’ve seen and has a ton of options. I probably won’t use most of them in my boat but they all seem to work. The music settings switch colors or change brightness when louder sounds are detected. Fade seems to cycle through colors. Speed can be adjusted. I really like the preset brightness options for ease of use. The best thing is that there is an app option because the remotes are super finicky and unreliable a lot of the time. The app means that is not a concern. Plus the remotes always get lost anyway. The connectors are better suited for outdoor conditions than some other sets. I feel comfortable in the ability to expose wiring to the elements. Defaults to on if left on when power is disconnected which is great for my use. Option to use battery connection or the power outlet in a vehicle means this can be adapted to work with any 12V battery. The app option for control and the robust waterproof connectors set this apart from other lighting options.

Junk. You better have it on the color you want when you turn it off. Cause it’ll be stuck on that color. Remote will only work the first time. I tried two sets. Both done the same thing.

Nice bright LED strips with a ton of features and controls accessible from both the included remote or the downloadable app. I haven't tried running them through a puddle or the like, but they appear like they should shrug it off; the LEDs are sealed and the connectors look solid, though a dab of dielectric grease couldn't hurt. The 20 feet of lights are not nearly enough to light up an RV like in the pictures, though.

I recently installed this 20ft RGB LED light strip on my RV's awning, and the initial experience was quite positive. The lights are bright and offer a wide range of colors and effects, which can be controlled via the included remote or the smartphone app. The adhesive backing made installation straightforward, and the flexibility of the strip allowed it to conform well to the awning's shape. However, after a few weeks of use, I encountered some issues. The remote control started to become unresponsive, requiring multiple presses to change settings. Additionally, the app occasionally fails to connect to the lights, necessitating a reset of the Bluetooth connection. I also noticed that a section of the light strip began to dim and eventually stopped working altogether. Upon inspection, it seems that moisture may have infiltrated the control box, despite the product being advertised as waterproof. While the lights add a great ambiance to the RV setup when functioning correctly, the connectivity issues and concerns about durability in outdoor conditions are drawbacks. If you're considering this product, it might be worth taking additional steps to waterproof the control box and manage expectations regarding long-term reliability.
