I've installed the lights on my travel trailer and works great as of this review. The remote sensor is very weak and you do have to be right in front of it for it to recognize the transmission. That is a little disappointing. Any more then 2 to 3 feet and it won't recognize the functions that are being attempted. But as of now i am satisfied with the purchase. Will update this if needed in a reasonable amount of time used.

I’ve been looking for LED strips to use on the undercarriage of my RV as a nighttime rodent deterrent, and this kit looked like it might be what I needed. I like that this kit came with “everything” needed for installation. I’ll be using the included car charger (cigarette lighter adapter) option to the power port on the side of my RV, but its nice that the cabling for hard-wiring is included as an option as well. For simplicity, I tested this strip in the passenger compartment of my car. The included remote cycled through the colors nicely, although IMHO the fact that it requires line-of-sight to the sensor on the receiver makes it a bit less useful for any sort of external application; not really an issue for me, since I’ll most likely be leaving mine on solid white, max brightness whenever they’re on. Which leads me to the topic of brightness. Compared to another COB (fixed white, non-dimmable) light strip I have: this strip “feels” like it only reaches about 2/3-3/4 the brightness of the COB strip. (In the attached photos, the COB strip is on the left, and this strip is on the right.) This is sort of the nature of COB vs SMD strips like this one, though.

Junk. You better have it on the color you want when you turn it off. Cause it’ll be stuck on that color. Remote will only work the first time. I tried two sets. Both done the same thing.

I recently installed this 20ft RGB LED light strip on my RV's awning, and the initial experience was quite positive. The lights are bright and offer a wide range of colors and effects, which can be controlled via the included remote or the smartphone app. The adhesive backing made installation straightforward, and the flexibility of the strip allowed it to conform well to the awning's shape. However, after a few weeks of use, I encountered some issues. The remote control started to become unresponsive, requiring multiple presses to change settings. Additionally, the app occasionally fails to connect to the lights, necessitating a reset of the Bluetooth connection. I also noticed that a section of the light strip began to dim and eventually stopped working altogether. Upon inspection, it seems that moisture may have infiltrated the control box, despite the product being advertised as waterproof. While the lights add a great ambiance to the RV setup when functioning correctly, the connectivity issues and concerns about durability in outdoor conditions are drawbacks. If you're considering this product, it might be worth taking additional steps to waterproof the control box and manage expectations regarding long-term reliability.

It's nice it includes both the cigarette adapter and the hard wire option. The remote is a bit cheap, so using the app is much better. Lots of lighting options and colors to choose from which is nice. Considering its a 12v set, the lights may not be as bright as you need, but it's perfect for my needs, because I'm looking for ambient lighting effects, not really super bright lights. Hopefully they last a long time - if not, I'll return and update this review, but for now, I'm pretty happy with thses.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this LED strip. For transparency and context, I'm going to use it inside the RV. The IP65 rating is good because where we are going, there is a lot of silica dust, which plays havoc with unprotected LED strips. Here are a few observations from my testing it before fully installing it. First, the colors are nice. I didn't plan on using the app, so I didn't try it. I've seen some other reviews where the app is commented on as good. While the LEDs are individually bright, the density is low. That is fine for most applications, especially at this price. Since I'm using this in the RV and people can see these closer up than outside, I will mount them inside a diffuser. That should help smooth out the light and give it an even better look. Second, the included remote controller feels flimsy, but it seems durable enough and has the features I need. I could easily use all the functionality I wanted to, including brightness and color control. I didn't try the four timer options, but I expect that will also work well. I had no trouble connecting the remote and the receiver from anywhere in the RV. Third, it's nice that they included a cigarette lighter plug as an option, but I don't need that, so I didn't test it. They also include roughly 2M of 22AWG wire with the waterproof connector added to the end. That is useful. I wish the wire were 20AWG, but I didn't notice any significant drop in light output from the start to the end of the strip. I wouldn't try to connect two strips together. With this light strip and controller being 12V vs. 24V, and the wire size, I'm guessing you will see some significant dimming on the second strip. That said, I would like to know if the controllers all use the same signals, such that you could control two different units with just one controller. That could be useful. One side note: The instructions say the product contains "non-replaceable" batteries. This is not actually correct. It uses CR2025 batteries, and you can open the slot at the bottom of the remote to change them. I assume they meant to say "non-rechargeable" instead of "non-replaceable." Overall, this feels like a good value for the money. For a low price, you get everything you need to add an LED strip.

Lit up fine first day. Next day, only the first 10 feet all colors worked, the next 5 feet one of the colors stopped working, and the last stretch none of it worked. Also noticed the remote had fairly short range on my limited testing while it worked.
