I recently got interested into learning how to play the kalimba. I decided to purchase this kalimba out of all the other ones because it looked very intriguing. && let me tell you, I was not disappointed with this purchase at all. I’m not going to lie, I was a little doubtful at first because I didn’t know what to expect since this instrument was made out of acrylic. I was in shocked at how good of a quality it was built. The sound that came out of it was very pretty and very clear! I love how it came with a cute mini palm size baby version of it. It’s also very portable to take on road trips! This was a quick and easy instrument to figure out. I was able to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (although somewhat chopily) after fiddling with it for about 15 minutes. I have fairly small hands but that did not prevent me from reaching all the keys (something I've had trouble with for guitar, piano, and even the violin occasionally). If you're hands are large I could see them getting a bit squashed around the small one. The materials were solid and surprisingly clear. If you were the sticker type, you could probably put some on this for decoration and it wouldn't affect the sound. I had some trouble tuning the 1* key on the small kalimba. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't make it hit the C. The closest I could get was D flat. I was a lot less impressed with the display stand. The rubbery material around the edges wouldn't say on and kept popping off the curves. It felt like a cheap sticker rather than anything quality. ... show more

This is a really nice thumb piano. It is heavy weight and looks nice. It comes with a really nice firm case, an easel, thumb protectors, a tuning hammer and more. The quality is fantastic. When it comes to sound, the larger piece sounds great. I have never had one of these before so don't really know what it should sound like, but it doesn't sound what I would call bad. The sound is strong too. The smaller unit is not so good. Sound barely comes out of it when played and it is also harder to play. This might be a toy in the car type of thing. I would not buy this based on the smaller piano. Get it for the larger one and the extras, consider the smaller one a bonus. The easel it comes with is nothing special. Doesn't feel as high quality as the piano and the rubber almost came off as I put it together. Overall a really nice kit and instrument. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This Kalimba had me wondering for a while. They are all over social media and decided to go with my gut and get one. THIS COMPANY BY FAR HAS AMAZING ACCESSORIES and came with a TINY WORKING EXTRA KALIMBA that is perfect for travel. With it's own little box. The manual is extremely easy to read. And the hammer is easy to use for any type of running. The thumbs are perfect size for me and does help for placing your thumbs down the metal bars. This instrument is easy to learn but can be very complex to remember certain notes. Which is why I love that it comes with labels even though the numbers and letters are pre-engraved on both the big and tiny Kalimba. It is q glass like feel, but seems sturdy and the stand is perfect because it looks wood but is a type of soft Styrofoam so you don't have to worry about scratches or damage to the Kalimba. I definitely recommend this beautiful instrument for people of ALL ages. Thank you! ... show more
