Okay, I did not notice the cute little smiley face in the center of the drain hair catcher, but it's adorable! I absolutely want to order more of these because they're so cute :) So the suction cups on any of these things never ever stick to my tub, but luckily they don't slide around so I can use them. They do catch my hair which I can then pick up and throw in the trash. I haven't seen any discoloration on any of the ones I've used so far. Cleaning is super easy with a little soap and water.

Definitely does not stick to all surfaces! Our bathtub is made out of what seems to be fiberglass? I'm not sure, exactly (its a rental and the tub has literally been painted over 🤦🏼♀️🙄😒) but when I do manage to get it to stay in place, it does successfully block hair properly! Fits well over the drain, let's the water drain properly, sturdy enough, works well when held in place, but is too light and the suction cups are useless.

Bought these because children kept managing to lodge things in the bathroom plumbing and it gets old taking apart a p trap for the millionth time. Originally went with standard stopper and then they flooded the bathroom. Pretty much just plug in play, suction is strong enough they dont move on their own but easy enough to remove if you just want to, or want to clean them or dump something you dont want stuck in it. No mold since its just silicone, no rust. Perfect fit even if too big. Bit gross to see the hair it catches, but better than having to use draino eventually I guess.

If you are trying to keep hair out of your drain do NOT buy this. I had an old drain cover / hair catcher I had used for years and finally it was so covered it gross mildew stains that I threw it out and purchased this one. However, this one does not stay in place well and even when it did, the majority of the hair went straight through it. The holes are WAY too big. After using this for about 2 months, my shower drain was so clogged that there started to be standing water in my shower while showering because the water could not drain properly. Yesterday I unscrewed the metal drain cover and used a little drain snake tool to pull hair out of the drain and OH MY GOSH, an ENORMOUS amount of hair came out along with disgusting sludge that had formed from dirt and shower products getting trapped among the hair in the drain that was clearly NOT caught by this "hair catcher". I then put draino down the drain and cleaned it all out, replaced the metal drain cover and then put on a new hair catch, which I hope will work much better than this one. I have missed the return window by this point, but honestly, the company who makes this should refund me for cost of their "hair stoppers" + the cost of the draino, drain snake, and new drain hair catcher I had to buy because of their poor product.
