Perfect for adding to our electric poultry net fence. The handles are not rubberized, but that should not matter. They are plenty big for grasping with gloved hands. Hopefully, they have sufficient UV resistance to last multiple years. No more DIY electric fence handles on our farm. These are worth the money. ... show more

These seem to be pretty good. As good as 'supply' store. I do worry about sun rot, but only time will tell on that bit. Price seems pretty reasonable as well. I do prefer the spring loaded versions as well, so no complaints there.

Electric Fence Handle from Efarmkeeper are sturdy, heavy duty handles. The handles are 8.7" long and the grip is comfortable and fills one's hand. The handles have a spring to facilitating unhooking the handle from the fence. The spring has about 1/2" of fairly easy travel and stiffens up from there. The price of $8.99 for 2 or $18.99 for 6 is a little more than some other brands, but these are solid-feeling and the connectors are not just wire but a 3mm steel hook on one end and a 1mm connection on the other. They have ridges on the barrel of the handle which makes them easy to handle. The handles are a vibrant orange color so if you're using these for an electric fence gate, you'll see where the gate is from a distance. ... show more

Poor electrical conductivity. The orange plastic feels cheap compared to the big box store brand. If you have a small fenced in area it might be adequate. I would not recommend using for high value livestock.

Good quality gate handles. I usually buy a cheaper red one from my local feed store. These ones seem to be a bit thicker and sturdier in the wire connection part than my other ones. These are maybe $1 more each than those, so the quality difference tracks. I like the orange for visibility. I've been searching for orange and haven't been able to find them anywhere, so if these last in the field, I will definitely purchase more. Not much else to say on basic gate handles! ... show more

I have a small dry lot type of pasture that I put the horses in when I am unloading hay or doing something that I don't want them getting in the way. I used to have electricity in it when I actually used it as a dry lot but I no longer do, so I can't say how good these are at conducting electric. As a general handle, they are great and seem as good as the handles I bought before at a farm store but cost less.
