  • Good
Bought these to paint screw heads on finish work. A little thin but 2 coats worked great. Left a good finish for what I needed it for.

  • Great for writing on Mason Jars
I use markers to write on Mason jars because soap and water can easily remove the writing. I highly recommend this product.

  • Needed these for black plastic squeeze bottle labels. Works great and can be washed off.
I bought a set of plastic squeeze bottles for condiments that came with black labels and a chalk marker. After using a bottle twice, the chalk marker wiped off. So, I needed another method to mark the contents of the bottle. Of the many white markers available, I chose these because of the positive reviews and because I am familiar with the Sanford Sharpie brand. When I first tried the marker, I thought I blew it, but you really have to read the instructions on the pen. You have to prime the point by pushing it in multiple times. Once you get the point primed it works fine. The marker works great and doesn't easily wipe of as the chalk marker did. Yet you can wash it off if you want to change the label. So far, these markers works well for my purpose, and I would recommend them. I hope this review was helpful for you. ... show more

  • Trying to use for hiding numbers printed on a paint-by-number canvas
An issue with paint by number canvasses is that they have dark numbers printed on the canvas to indicate the color to be painted. Light paint colors do not cover this number and have to be repainted several times to cover them. One solution proposed is to use these sharpie markers to conceal the numbers. I used them for this purpose and there are some issues. The tip of these markers is very wide for this purpose, too wide for any precision, you just have to dab down the tip. Unfortunately this causes a big dot of white marker ink, leaving a small mound. Also, this dried ink does not take paint well, the paint tries to de-wet off this mound. So you end up painting over the area a couple of times to cover over this mound, really not saving any time. The ink does hide the number. I could not find a fine tip version of these pens. The combination of problems lead me to say; I don't think they work well for this application. ... show more

  • Work great.
Great price-I originally got one for $5 at Walgreens. They work really well, too.

  • Writes on walls
I wanted a white pen that would write on walls and not bleed. This paint pen worked wonderfully. You have to shake it to ensure you get a strong solid white line, but one pen was more than enough for the wall section I painted. Only the lines and art are the pen and the solid pieces like the fish had to be gone over a second time, but I am very happy with the purchase and definitely recommended this product. On the wall, a damp cloth will wipe the paint pen away easily, but if it is allowed to dry, it will be a little harder to wipe clean. I sprayed a clear coat over the art to ensure water would not wash it away. ... show more

  • When it works, it works great, but can be tough to use on smooth surfaces
got this to write "property of..." on various products because labels don't always stick forever. Shaken thoroughly, it seems to work well on rough-ish or matte surfaces. But, on smooth or slick surfaces, the pen doesn't always seem to work. Also, occasionally, no matter how much the pen is shaken to mix the paint ingredients, it still won't work. Then, a week or two later, when tried again on the same surface, it works just fine. Go figure. But, when it does work, the paint seems to be bright and clear and dries to a tough finish. ... show more
