These are excellent quality binders. The graphics are gorgeous. The rings are quite sturdy and haven't gapped in the months I've used them. I am most surprised they are hard covered; I didn't really read the description. I needed binders asap - the mood to organize was finally upon me. So after seeing the star rating and liking the design, I just purchased them. I figured they would do until I could get more expensive ones. I honestly didn't think they would be as nice as they are.
