I really like that this under sink instant hot water heater is larger - 4 gallons instead of the usual 2.5 gallons. It takes a bit more room but supplies more hot water. And being larger, it retains the heat longer requiring less reheats. We use it to heat the hot water at a utility sink we use every day. We are actually feeding the under sink water heater, not with the cold water line but with the house’s domestic hot water line. The run from our large water tank, which is at the other side of the house, is so far away that it takes minutes before the hot water arrives at the sink. Having four gallons of instantly preheated water is really nice and it eliminates the water waste going down the drain waiting for the water temperature to rise. This model is rated 110 VAC at 1500 Watts – the same as a hand held hair dryer. Simply plug it in and go. OK, there is some light plumbing work but not bad. The upper 108 psi rating is fine since residential water pressure ranges between 45 and 80 psi. The UL certification is also great. The product’s text description says the tank has been upgraded to a 304 stainless steel tank body. On the other hand, the product’s photo shows low carbon stainless steel, an enamel coating, and a magnesium anode. This is conflicting information. Most large residential water tanks, because of cost, are made of carbon steel and have a porcelain enamel inner tank lining. They require a magnesium anode to control corrosion. Stainless steel costs more but, with a small four gallon tank, 304 stainless steel can be used. Stainless steel has a longer lifespan, better corrosion resistance, does not need a lining, and does not need or require a magnesium anode. Since the plastic case with foam insulation looks like it cannot be easily opened, replacing a magnesium anode does not seem possible. So I think the text saying the tank has been upgraded is correct and the descriptive photo is wrong. I think this is truly a stainless steel tank – good news. I like that the controls are simple since this is an under cabinet unit that you seldom see. The green led means power is available but the tank is not heating. The red led shows that the tank is heating. Finally, there is a single knob to set the temp or turn it off. I wish the pressure relief valve was actually connected to a third tank port like the ones I am familiar with. This uses a little in-line valve on the cold water inlet port. I am unfamiliar with these little pressure relief valves that also have a one way valve inside. We’ll see how it does over time. I checked and they can handle water temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit so feeding it heated water from our other water heater shouldn’t be a problem. The instruction manual covers 8 different models though not specifically listing the model numbers and shows hard wiring the power instead of the simple US plug. The installation information in the manual is a bit confusing – good thing the water heater is so simple to install. The manual lists 6, 8, 10, and 15 liter tanks each with either top or bottom connection ports. The model I ordered is the 4 gallon or 15 liter top connection ports and it came with the parts needed to install. Teflon tape is not included and not needed since all connections have compression and cone washers. Very pleased – we have hot water – instantly.

An electric (120/1) water heater...of course you'll need the right connectivity with the included hoses or you'll have to get different. I'm not fond of the TPRV (temperature/pressure relief valve) it's jank and very budget...and labelled RED but required to be on the BLUE connection (ala the relief handle is red but you install it on the cold side). It's a 2.5 gallon water heater...which takes many minutes to heat up to full - and cannot keep new inlet water 'to temp' should you go beyond the stored capacity...for mine, 2.5 gallon/10 liter it says it can take upwards of 21 minutes to get to temperature (they don't indicate whether that's highest temp or lowest) - needless to say you'll not get much heating of cold water passing through without sticking around inside for 20+ minutes. I did not test this - because I got it for an end of the world type of situation - ala power off and/or water off - and honestly it'll sit around as a future use tool in the event I ever have to worry about it. as for value 106 (march 2025; remember prices vary by date, region, country, state, inflation,etc.) I feel it's a good price - though I'm not sure I'd have paid full price (being a vine reviewer does have a smaller risk exposure as we just pay taxes on the 'value' including the required reviews) - so while it's not 'free' it does change the consumer dynamic - as well I haven't tested it you should consider your purchase and use case as best you're able - as I never tell someone how to spend their money it feels like a good unit - all the parts were included - though I'm not happy about the plastic tubing for the TPRV outlet...AND NO HOSE CLAMP (if I were buying for normal use I'd definitely replace that plastic/vinyl hose with something better, like pex...but the connection isn't even barbed...it's square grooves so clamping becomes an issue
