We had a problem in our new home, where the tankless water heater was quite a ways from the kitchen. It took 90 seconds or more to get hot water, which seems like a lifetime. We decided to get a hot water heater that we could put under the sink. Some models require 220 V which we didn’t want. This model only requires a normal 110. The purpose of this hot water heater will be to get instant hot water. We can then wash hands or rinse dishes, which only uses a small amount of hot water. If we are filling the entire sink, then the hot water in this tank would be exhausted and the water coming from our whole house tankless water heater will fill the rest of the sink. After installation, we are super happy. And we don’t see any decrease in water, pressure or water flow. The water is hot in about four seconds. This is a perfect solution to a problem that we had. A few comments on installation so you know you can do it. They do not include any white Teflon tape for sealing the joints. You need to purchase this from Amazon or your local hardware store. Instructions they provide are not really good. But there’s not that much to actually do so it’s OK. If you don’t know how to wrap Teflon tape, then I suggest going to YouTube and finding out how to do it. The installation is simple wrap tape on the top of the two water ports. install the safety valve on the cold water inlet pipe on the top of the tank. Put white tape on the top threads. Next under sink turn the hot water off and disconnect the faucet pipe that is going to the shut off valve. Connect the new pipe they gave you to the shut off valve and then to the cold port on the tank. Now comes the tricky part. The line coming from my faucet that should connect to the tank did not have the same size end and therefore I needed to go to the hardware store to pick up a connector. The guy there helped me get the right one. I applied white tape to the connector and then connected everything. At this point, I tested and found a leak. I need to apply more white tape in order to get the leak to stop. In summary, great product, solved my problem, and I’m happy

Not meant for a longer shower, but great for a single person to shower quick & wash a few dishes & pans after dinner & all the usual things. On high it gets pretty hot, but around 2/3 on the dial it keeps around a nice 120°. Super for a tiny house or RV with electric hookup. Initial heat-up draws a lot of current, because it heats up very fast (about 1-2 minutes) and stays hot with little power after that. If you’re on a single outlet, you might want to turn your heater & stove off when you start it up. Easy hookup with 1/2” threaded pvc fittings & teflon, and it looks great under the sink.

Amazing! I turned my master bedroom into a mother in law siete, installed a kitchenette, its small but it has it all. The plumber was going to charge me an extra $1000 to bring in the hot water in the kitchen so i opted for just cold water purchased this little water heater for a little over $100 and BAM!!! I have hot water in the little kitchenette area. The water comes out hot immediately. I love it, I wish i had one under all my sinks, especially in the winter. Waiting for water to get warm is such a waste of water. I live in AZ so it soesnt really get very cold, but always wasting water waiting for warm water.

Don’t waste your money. I bought 3 of these, and 2 of them leak water. The very low quality TNP valves don’t stop draining water, and water leaks out of them flooding the cabinet.

its ok. my bosch 2.5 gal failed so i got this because it was only 100$. doesnt seem like it holds 2.5 but it gets hot and works. the supplied hoses were so small in I.D. diameter that the flow was restricted to a trickle. had to replace both the supply line and exit line with 1/2 inch pex. now everythings good.

It used to take about 3 to 4 minutes to get hot water, now, count 1, 2, ohhhhh damn that’s hot. Placed shower rods along both sides to put spray bottle’s. Makes up for the lost space due to the water heater. Make sure you have access to electricity; I patched into the dishwasher as it has a 20 amp breaker. The heater has a 110 plug on it so if you have a plug under the sink, easy breezy. Wife loves the instant hot water. Happy wife, happy life. Oh, one last thing, if you have a sink (Moen) that has a proprietary connector you will have to get a male to male coupler for the hoses.
