I definitely expected issues because it's a cheap Chinese motor. Couldn't get it to stay running from out of the box. Contacted the company and they said needing to tune the carburetor. Tuning the carburetor didn't do anything if anything it made it worse. The company then sent me a new carburetor to install. Installed a new carburetor and realized it wasn't the exact one but made it work with parts from the old one. It starts and runs and still not the best and the throttle could be better. ... show more

i recently purchased the 3.5 HP outboard motor for my small fishing boat and I'm impressed with its performance. This motor is lightweight, easy to start, and provides sufficient power for my needs. It's perfect for navigating through calm waters and has a decent throttle response. The motor is also relatively fuel-efficient, which is a big plus for me. I've used it for 2 hours on a single tank of gas and still had some left over. Cuando lo recibí, el motor estaba mojado de aceite incluso entró en el escape cuando lo prendí el motor tiró mucho humo blanco como que si explotara y tube que limpiarlo y secarlo y ademas En el manual no decía que aceite debería de llevar en la transmisión Pero yo puse -Del motor 10w30 movil -Y del transmisión no tenia en especial cual es el adecuado pero si le di liquido de transmisión manual de carro - de gasolina pura es mejor la 92 Y decía que andaría a velocidad como de 55mph Pero la realidad solo va como 10 mph con una sola persona. Ahora si se sube 4 personas solo va como a 3 o 4 mph espero. Pues si es un buen motor pero mas lo menos por eso le doy solo 3 de 5. Al parecer la que corre mas son las de 8 o 12 hp Esta es solo de 4hp Que vale 240 y algo mas envió saldrán en 340 ... show more

Don’t waste your money. Got mine put it on the boat. Filled oil up and took for a spin. Done great. Went out about a month later engine locked up tighter than Fort Knox. Didn’t overheat or anything, had perfect amount of oil.

1. Prop is held on by a split pin. May wish to replace with quality bolt and nut. 2. Choke on and off labelling is switched (I fixed with a tape label) 3.
