One thing I didn't see others mention was that this large tent compacts into about a 2 foot bag that only weighs about 20 pounds! Very easy to carry around! As for the actual tent, for 2 taller/larger people it is pretty nice. 3 would be a bit tight. It holds up against the wind well. It's lightweight and easy for set up. With the front door open, it's pretty breezy and can serve as a shaded spot to sit. There's also 2 exits, so you can get up without stepping over someone sleeping. Took this tent on a weekend trip to the lake with my cousin. Setup was not too hard, poles felt strong and not cheap kind, which is good cause we got some pretty serious wind one night. It held up no problem, didn’t feel shaky or anything. Inside feels more comfy for 2 people than 3, maybe if you're small or just got some bags, 3 could work but it be tight. I really liked the two doors – I could get out without waking her up, that’s a big plus for me. Also the little skylight windows are nice, we watched stars before sleep, kinda reminded me of camping with my uncle when I was little. Tent stayed dry even with morning dew and some drizzle. Didn’t get stuffy inside either, even zipped up it had decent airflow. The vestibule area gave us space to toss our muddy shoes which I appreciate. I’d use this again for sure, maybe even try it solo on my bikepacking trip next month. ... show more

This is NOT a 3 person tent, it is 2 person tent for people who are not very tall. I am 5'10" and I barely fit. When I camp alone in this, I will probably lie diagonally so I'm not touching the tent walls. I think it would feel cramped with 2 people. Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this tent for the price and for it not being a name brand. It is not for backpacking, but I didn't expect it to be- it's pretty heavy. The seams are all sealed well. Setup was easy for me to do alone. Something I really appreciated was that the bag was loose from the factory packing. That meant that when I repacked the tent, it actually fit in the bag with very few re-foldings. The vents provide good airflow which makes it more comfortable in different weather conditions. I am hopeful this will last quite a few years, since I only car camp 3-4 times a year. ... show more

I’m giving this 3 stars mainly because of the weight—it’s much heavier than I expected for something marketed as a backpacking tent. Once you pick it up, it’s clear this is better suited for car camping or short hikes than anything long-distance. On the positive side, assembly was quick and easy, and I really like the skylight feature—it’s a nice touch that makes the tent feel more open and airy. The overall quality is fine: not bad, but not exceptional either. It should hold up for casual camping trips without issue. All in all, it’s an okay buy for the price. If you’re just doing regular camping, it’s a solid option. But if you’re serious about backpacking and need to keep weight down, I’d look for something lighter. ... show more

I would definitely say this is more suitable for two people, maybe two and a dog or a kid, but three is a stretch. In any regard, it was relatively easy to set up and the material feels pretty decent. I would say the material is breathable but it could actually probably work for all seasons, because I did notice that with two of us in there, it held a little bit of heat, but not so much that it was unbearable.
