Have used a competitor's film protector in the past. This seems like a much better product and is much more clear than others. Be sure to wait the 100 seconds for the adhesive to flow out. Don't get in a hurry and use the curing lamp too soon, because the adhesive will no longer flow once you do. There are no instructions in the package, but a quick search turned up video results for my phone. Will buy for my next phone! ... show more

At first I thought these screen covers were a godsend. I had damaged the naked screen of my phone with a caustic chemical that left permanent pits in the Gorilla Glass on my Pixel 6 Pro. This screen cover completely covered those pits and restored my phone to what looked like a brand new screen! Five Stars for sure! It was worth the ridiculously high price and the crazy installation process (which for me went without a hitch for some reason). I was very happy. Then I dropped the phone. It was only a few feet, but the edge hit something and caused a small crack in the edge of the glass despite my phone case. I thought "no problem, Whitestone promised me a lifetime warranty for replacement screens; it must be why they charge so much for their product". WRONG! Yes they will replace the screen for "free", but there is a $14.99 shipping and handling charge. I discovered that after the ridiculously painful product registration and warranty claim process. This is robbery as it does not cost that much to send something as light as a feather. The charge should be less than $5 for their handling. If the charge was reasonable, I would have happily sent them the money to get a new screen. That is not happening, I'll move on to a company that actually stands behind their product's warranty. I do not recommend giving this company any money. UPDATE 1: I originally gave this 2 stars, but had to reduce it to 1 star. I tried to remove the cracked screen protector using the card provided and it would only remove about 1/4 of the top and bottom before shattering the screen into a million shards. After that, I couldn't get the rest of it off and it destroyed the chintzy provided removal card. I tried to use some plastic scrapers I had which didn't work, so I worked up to a thin metal scraper from my toolbox and had to use all my might to remove the rest - it was stuck to my phone like concrete or epoxy! What a mess. Then I cleaned up the phone and tried to install the second cover provided. That did not go well. There are now three huge bubbles under the screen and my phone looks horrible. Again, I do not recommend this product as now I have to scrape this one off and get something from a reputable company that stands behind their product. I have had it with Whitestone. UPDATE 2: I bought a new screen cover, so I had to remove the second Whitestone screen in Update 1 that had huge bubbles to install it. Again I ran into the same problem as the first one - the damned screen won't come off. This time I used a hair dryer set to super hot and heated up the cover until I couldn't touch it. No dice. I again had to use the metal scraper and it almost needed a chisel (see photo). This time I gouged a pit in my screen and I am sickened that I paid money for these miserable covers that have caused me hours of aggravation. Horrible, horrible, horrible. These deserve zero stars, but alas one is as low as Amazon goes. ... show more

    • Simple and works great if you READ THE DIRECTIONS!
Took me about half an hour to install so it is a process. I was meticulous, watched the video, read the directions, and THEN started and followed along step by step. This is more involved than any screen protector I've used before but worth the effort. Flawless install and the first glass lasted me 6 months. I just finished installing the second in the pack and it looks perfect again. My first one started to develop chips around the edges where it took impacts from drops. I finally got a fairly serious crack along the edge (only of the protector) and so decided to install the second. Even then, what I really like about this glass is that it still stuck. Others I have used, especially on this phone with the curved edge, the glass will get dislodged in one corner and then it's game over. It will never stick again in that corner, and you have to get a new glass immediately. This one stayed put...almost too well... Removing the first one was a pain. it doesn't come off clean. I had to use a razor blade as their little laminated removal card didn't cut it for me. It comes off in chunks and shatters similar to a windshield on a car. There is a film that somewhat holds it together, but still lots of small bits of glass came off. Still, it only took me 10 minutes or so to remove the old one and the new one went on just fine. Will definitely buy another when this one starts to chip. ... show more

    • Top Tier Screen Protector (with caveat)
Installation for this screen protector is so freaking awesome, and it's amazing that it works so well each and every time I've used it. If you do it right, it will work exactly as advertised; the glue spreads perfectly and absolutely zero bubbles are left (again, when done right). I've installed this a total of 3 times on my Pixel 6 Pro, and only once did I have issues but it was entirely my fault, and even then, it turned out better than most screen protectors do. If I had one gripe, I'd say that the edges seem to chip awfully easy. Once the edges start the chip away, it starts to come off little by little until you have noticeable chunks of screen showing. I just installed my third one today (in about 2 years time), and I'm going to be as careful as I can to see how long it really lasts, but I feel comfortable saying that this is a design flaw and it chips way too easily. Everything else about this kit is amazing; the application process is awesome, the clarity & fingerprint/touch recognition is on point, but the brittleness of the actual screen protector itself could use some work. I would love to see a thicker piece of glass being used, something seriously heavy duty. Considering the time & patience it takes to install this screen protector, it's a little discouraging to see chips on your screen just days after installation, and it would only make sense that an installation method this "intense" would use a hefty piece of glass that's not meant to come off any time soon. But, even with this said, I continue to buy this kit because simply nothing else comes close to final results; However, if this newest kit I purchased continues to have the same issue, I very well may start looking for other UV glue-style screen protector kits like this, because they're too expensive ($20 per application!) to have them start chipping away days later. I'm still giving 4/5 stars because of how innovative & consistent this product is, despite its obvious flaws. Please know that my phone has a curved screen, and I fully suspect that this plays a huge part into the edges chipping away so easily. ... show more
