I bought this safe and when I opened it, I was disappointed with the gold material glued inside. It was cheaply made material and really would look better if taken out (I probably will). It's very sturdy and seems to be fine to use with my documents and I plan to store in there. The water resistance, not sure on this one because I do not plan to get it wet. Easy to use - I would say the keys are easy but the instructions are not clear as to how to set the digital part to use with a combination. I can't get that part to work for me.     • Not what is advertised
This item is not a safe. It is a mental lock box with an electronic lock. First it is not fireproof. The box has no insulation and will get as hot as the fire and therefore ignite the items inside. It is not waterproof, besides the predrilled holes for the mounting bolts the door has no seals and water will enter easily. The box is quite light and was carried in by the Amazon delivery woman with another package on top so it will be just as easily carried off by a thief if not bolted down. The pre drilled bolt holes are not on 16 inch centers so it will not fit standard household studs. Than being said it is not a bad lock box for keeping your pistol in and other items you do not want your kids to touch or workmen in the house to steal. It would not take long for any competent burglar to break in, but if bolted to the floor and the wall it will foil any neighborhood kids looking for drug money. I would not recommend your putting any real valuables in this safe, but for your wife everyday jewelry, weapons and ammo, and replaceable items like passports it is a respectable lock box, but not a replacement for a banks safe deposit box.. ... show more
