I’ve had this grinder now for 6 months and have used it almost every morning and I am impressed. After experimenting with various methods and grinds, I’ve pretty much settled on the pour over method with a grind number of 50, but to each their own. The grinder is a breeze to operate and provides a very good and consistent grind; I’m using French roast whole beans. The grinder is exceptionally made and looks as if it should last a lifetime. One thing I’ve learned and will pass on: I was experiencing a lot of static electricity after grinding and to say it was messy would be an understatement. I found out that if you add about 4-6 drops of water to the beans before grinding, stir the beans around to distribute the moisture then grind, like magic, no static, no mess. Not sure of the science behind this but it works great. Overall, the grinder is expensive, no doubt about it, but it is 100% worth it.

Upgraded from a Breville combo espresso unit. So far, this has really delivered over the past ~3/4 months. With this unit, I’ve actually been able to taste the notes for my coffee beans! I’ve done plenty of research beforehand, and this unit is ideal for home brewers making both pourovers and espressos. Cant comment much on espresso, but the pourovers have been so good that I haven’t felt the need to try espresso much. Grinding espresso is a hassle though, and could be a deterrent for every day brewers. It might also be why I’ve been exclusively brewing pourovers. For those, I like to grind around 8.5 across the different bags I’ve tried so far. The recommended maintenance is involves a monthly disassembly, but I haven’t kept up with it. The unit still grinds and operates well. The disassembly can be daunting and confusing the first couple of times, but gets easy with use. Reference a video out there if you need help with it. The unit is very sturdy and has a premium feel to it. I haven’t tried transporting it, but the case it comes with seems quite good (comparable to a switch case) Note: if you have weak grip strength, consider using the little rubber ring inside. Fit it over the unit, and hold onto it for additional traction. Still a bit hard to use when grinding espresso, but it’ll help. You’ll inadvertently develop better grip strength with use haha

I've owned this grinder for almost two years now and I can't say enough good things about it. I originally bought it to be a good all around grinder while I dabbled in espresso while mostly drinking French press and filter coffee. First and foremost, the grind quality is excellent. I noticed an immediate improvement to my coffee from the first time I used this grinder. Once calibrated, a fairly easy process btw, it can be dialed in to make an excellent cup of coffee for many different brew methods. I used it for espresso, filter, French press, and plan to use it for pour over and had good to fantastic results with each method. I am not well versed enough in espresso to say it can be solely used for that, but it did give me some good shots. It has a lot of adjustable settings that once I had a general range for my setup could dial in almost any coffee with my setup. The handle is sturdy, the magnetic catch cup is great, and it is easy to hold while even finely grinding. If you make large batches, this grinder pretty much tops out at 45g of coffee. But if you're like me and make a 4-6 cup pot every morning, this is a great grinder to have. And when I visit my in laws who don't drink coffee, I can travel with it and my French press taking up minimal space.

This is truly worth it. An exceptional grinder. It has a premium feel and looks great. The case and accessories are well thought out and helpful when traveling. It is on the larger side but this is great for filter coffee as the capacity can easily fit 30-45 grams depending on the bean. It’s very easy to use and dialing in has been a breeze. For V60 I usually stay between 6.5 and 7.5 and for aeropress it is usually a bit finer than that around 6 and 7. The external adjustment makes it very easy to switch between different beans no problem. No issues with retention either. The cups are sweet, balanced and with some clarity. Not a ton of clarity like what you would expect from ZP6 but it also means it is very forgiving and will produce great results no matter what you through at it. I also tried it with espresso and it was great. It took me 30 seconds day to grind a full 20 gram dose no problem (it was a dark roast though). Overall this is an awesome grinder that I keep coming back to and using it has been great. Would highly recommend it if you have the budget. It is worth it.

Was debating getting a cheaper model but decided to splurge on this K-Ultra. Really glad I did. It will last me a LONG time. And it's great. It was super easy to calibrate prior to use (I recommend watching a YouTube video to see how to do it). And when it's calibrated it's super easy to change the grind size. Grinding doesn't take too long. I'm using some light roast beans from Onyx right now and it takes a little strength but it's really not too bad. Easy to disassemble and clean. I like that the handle can be folded inward so it doesn't take up too much space. It's also got a nice weight to it that makes it sturdy, but it isn't heavy. It's also quiet. Overall very satisfied.

Very pleased, works great and makes some delicious coffee. Started with a Kingrinder P0 to just try out a hand grinder and pour over setup and quickly decided to upgrade to this. Love the external grind adjustment and the speed of grinding.

I like the mechanical design: the numbered marking for much easier dialing, "bending" arm for easier storage. magnetic cup for speedy unloading ground. But nothing is perfect. Here are some issues: 1) the fine seems to be much more than C40. My pour-over will be stalled no matter how coarse I used (up to 8.7 still clog the light roasts). C40 passes this test and produces sweeter/cleaner coffee 2) while the grinding speed is faster, it takes much more effort to grind for light roast and finer setting. 3) the "zero point" may shift quite a bit at initial use. I was surprised by it. So I check it from time to time now. It is still a worthy alternative to C40 and produce different flavor of coffee. Not to mention it is much pleasant to use. (talking about the stuck beans in C40)
