    • Did they change these? Re-tune perhaps? because now they sound great!
So I've bought 2 of these, casue lost my first pair at a party. The time difference has been a year and unsure if the company did something or if my original pair were faulty, because this second pair is alot better sounding. The first pair was ok but the treble and mids were too high and sharp. Clear yes but bass was too low and those mids could literally pierce through your brain. This second pair is much more balanced and enjoying it far more. I only bough them again because the loop around the ear design is great. Well actually I bought the Quad's first and they just fall out of my ear as they too heavy its annoying. So bought these again because that over the ear is great. I can pull them out without having them drop which is great for commuting and going to the gym and for walks . Highly recommend these! If you get a pair thats too sharp perhaps email the company and try to exchange them. I just sucked it up but I think after reading through reviews that perhaps the company re-tuned them. Unsure. But the price and value and quality of these is top notch superb. ... show more

    • Pentas, Quads, Triples
Pentas sound the best but take the time to experiment with the tips. Use the biggest ones that are comfortable for you. I found that the tip size didn't change the sound quality all that much with the Triples and the quads. Not so with the pentas. I settled on the medium foams. The largest foams became uncomfortable after awhile. And I usually prefer silicon tips. The moral? Buy these babies and mess with the tips. If they are too loud even on the lowest volume setting on your phone, use an equalizer and just draw down all the volumes the same amount. ... show more

    • Decent sounding, though not as good as hype might suggest
Good detail and highs, bass is decent too (though definitely not for bass-heads), and soundstage is good sized, but mids are recessed. On some tracks, I felt the vocals seemed to be a bit in the background than they should be. When I listen to some songs I'm familiar with, I get the feeling of "something seems just a bit off". These are not bad sounding, but they're not as good as some of the reviews might have you believe. I prefer the Sennheiser IE200 over these. The IE200 has a much more natural, balanced, satisfying, enjoyable sound. The IE200s even cost a little less to boot. I felt they were pretty comfortable to wear. Not a huge fan of the feel of the rubbery cable. They tend to retain a little twistedness, but it works fine. I was able to get a good, tight seal pretty easily. ... show more
