This SHEYONGBY 190 Skeins Rainbow Color Embroidery Floss is a terrific value for a wide variety of colors and general purpose floss, as long as you aren't looking for archival quality. The listing advertises 190 skeins, and I manually counted, confirming 190 completely unique colors. There were zero duplicates which is kindof amazing. The colors are vibrant, and the color coding closely mirrors standard DMC floss codes. I compared a few, and they were either identical or very close. They claim these cotton skeins are non-fading, but they do not state whether they are truly colorfast. I'm confident in the tensile strength of the cotton, but I don't know if the dyes used here match the quality of my normal brands. I would exercise caution if you plan to use for archival projects. For the volume and color variety provided, I think it's a great value for general crafts (friendship bracelets, cross-stitch, etc).

This is a nice set for general arts and crafts using embroidery floss. There is not a whole lot of floss per skein, but there is plenty of each to complete a craft where you need a lot of different colors. The variety of colors is wonderful, and the colors are vibrant and saturated. I have started making birthday crowns for my kids and need an assortment of colors of embroidery floss so I can be creative in my color choices. It’s nice to have this set so I don’t have to order colors individually. With the variety in this set, I can match any felt colors I am using in my crown, or find complimentary contrasting colors. The floss feels nice in the hand and seems to be of decent quality. Each skein is labeled with the number identifier and the number IDs appear to be accurate. The only issue I had was when I opened the package and started separating the skeins from each other, they were sticking to each other a lot. The glue from the paper with the color number on it had either been applied sloppily or maybe melted onto the floss itself, so the glue was sticking to the floss of the neighboring skeins. I tried to show this in my photos. The glue didn’t appear to damage the floss, but it was pretty annoying separating them and having the floss strand unravel from the skein due to sticking to another skein. For this reason only, I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars. Overall this is a nice set to have, despite the minor annoyance of them all sticking together from the glue.

This is a nice cross stitch thread. I got this for my son to use for learning cross stitching, each color has 6.6 yards of the normal 6 strand cross stitch thread. The colors are bright and plenty of them to be creative with. My son is wanting to attempt his own ideas rather than a printed pattern so the color variants are nice for him to choose from. Easy to split the strands and to thread on a normal size stitching needle. I was able to show him the basic cross stitches without any issues using this thread.

Love love love this floss. 190 skeins for this price is insane, and the quality is right up there with the ‘name brands’! Theres about a zillion color choices so no matter what you’re working on, you’re basically guaranteed to have the perfect color you need. I will say there isn’t a ton per color like the name brands offer, but if you don’t need a ton for your project, you should be set with this. Would be amazing for a beginner trying to get a stash together. I’m pretty intermediate in my skill at hand embroidery and this is a great addition to what I’ve already got. Easy to use and cut, doesn’t fray very much, glides right through my fabric. Love this!

I like to have crafty things for when my nieces spend time with me and when I saw this package of embroidery floss I had to get it so we can try our hand at friendship bracelets. It's been so long since I have made them, so I did have to look up some videos for guidance. We had such a good time practicing and then making at least one bracelet. We all loved the floor, loved the assortment of colors we can pick from and mix and match. We are going to look up other craft things we can do with the floss since we have all these very pretty colors.
