It is good, works well, but think about the length, I got the shorter one thinking I’m only 5’7” and it seems awkward. Not the rakes fault. Our lawn hasn’t been touched beyond mowing a few times a year, so the thatch is heavy. Until I can afford to buy a power dethatcher, this rake is perfect for what I need. Mowed the lawn to 1” and use the rake as leverage when raking. It’ll catch sometimes, but it’s a lot easier to manage. It’s durable and feels sturdy. It’s pulled up a ton of thatch for me so far and it’s making a noticeable difference. Highly recommend.

I used the tools that came in the package to tighten up the hardware as best I could. I took it outside to try it out and after 15 minutes of light use, I realized that two of the screws connecting the rake had disappeared. If you buy this, use a socket wrench to make sure it is tight. Also, while using, I kept having the twist the handle to keep it screwed together.

We have a lot of stubborn, sticky weeds that I’d rather not pull by hand, and this rake made the job so much easier. It quickly cleared the overgrowth to a manageable level, and I love that the blade angle can be adjusted for both comfort and efficiency. I know it is designed for de-thatching, which I look forward to using it for soon. I did take off one star because the original nuts let the rake head loosen and come undone, but after swapping them for locknuts it’s been rock-solid with no further issues. Overall, it’s a well-priced tool—definitely cheaper than what you’d find at a big-box store—and a real time-saver for yard maintenance. This might make me old, but I do appreciate a good yard and garden tool!
