The slightest pressure on the device and the polishing pad stops spinning. Spent most of the trying to hold the thing "just right" to get the stupid thing to keep spinning. If using battery power on a vehicle the size of a BMW X4, you won't be able to complete a simple Cerakote application. BOTH batteries will die on you before you can complete the job. In comparison, I thought to myself- "Polishing by hand would have been easier, faster, and nicer".

Here we have an awesome 18PCS Cordless Car Buffer Polisher, the ultimate tool for car enthusiasts who want to get that professional shine from inside their own garage. This portable polishing waxer machine kit makes car detailing a breeze, giving your vehicle a showroom-worthy finish. Its versatility is really handy. I can even use it like a palm sander. I have plenty of crafty projects that need a bit of buffing out. It was fun just opening the box for the first time. Amazingly, two (2) battery packs are included. Lithium Ion. You don’t have to worry about running out of power before you can get done. The batteries are 2000mAh, long-lasting and after I’m done I can hand it off to the hub and he might get started on his vehicle while I recharge the first battery. We might have to take a break while charging, but that’s with 2 vehicles, so that’s not bad. Bonus: You can enjoy cordless polishing. The AFGOOD Car Buffer Grinder Kit features both 5” and 6” buffers, so I have flexibility to work on different areas of my car. From buffing out swirl marks to restoring faded paint, this kit has everything you need to get your car looking good again, except the wax. Designed with car owners in mind, this user-friendly product is lightweight and easy to operate with the ergonomic design. It also comes with a black apron which is good for me because there are times when I have the wax sputtering and at least I’m covered. It’s really a nice set up. The size and weight are great for spot corrections. It does not compare to a corded polisher because of power. It will bog down easily, so it’s great for small imperfections. The included accessories and pads are great though.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. Over the years I’ve acquired a half dozen full sized buffers of good quality. Two are well regarded corded random orbit models sold specifically for auto waxing and polishing. There is also one corded and one cordless fixed rotary buffers, a small 2” head miniature R/O corded model, and a rarely used, air powered R/O buffer. So why would I wish for another? Well my air compressor can’t keep up with sustained use of my air powered unit, and I just hate having to drag the hose around, making sure it isn’t contact the paint. My corded models are relative large and heavy and again, I’m having to run cords and keep them clear of the vehicle. Finally, my detail buffer is well named, as it would be ever so tedious to try to apply it too a broad surface such as a truck hood. So this new buffer has a lot to offer over my others. Less weight and bulk, no hoses or cords to set up. It is easier to just grab and put to immediate use. It has adequate power for the size of pads it employs, has reasonably long battery life spread over the pair of batteries it comes though mine regret very slowly with the small recharger supplied.
