Installation was simple. Instructions were very clear about how much electricity this needs. 6awg wire and 60 amps - they aren't kidding around! In 2 weeks since installation, the temp has been tweaked to 107f. High enough for a relaxing hot shower, but not enough to scald anyone. At our local rate of 11-cents per KwHr, a 15-minute shower costs 38-cents. The rest of the day and all through the night it costs ZERO! The old 28-gallon water heater would run out towards the end of a shower AND costs a lot to keep the water hot all day and all night, with no one using it. ... show more

Let me start by saying I bought a different brand prior to this one, it was total garbage! THIS one is amazing! Straight forward wiring, water plumbing is at the bottom not the top in the event you get a leak it won’t ruin the electrical boards. Smaller, lighter, simple to operate, and man oh man, the water is HOT and plentiful! Stop looking at the other brands, buy this one! You’ll thank me later. ... show more

It worked for one day then quit heating. I tried to get ahold of manufacturer to do an evening swap to get one That's working and was denied. So we'll just decide to return to buy a different name brand.

Anybody looking to switch from a standard water heater to a tankless water heater? This may or may not be the product for you. Tankless water heaters in general since you are much less likely to run out of hot water. Also, since this does not involve keeping a tank of water heated, you can save some $$ on your electric bill. It can take 30 seconds longer to get hot water, but that's no big deal, you'll like a tankless water heater. the issue with this heater specifically is that tankless water heaters do have house-size restrictions. If your home is 1000 sq ft or less, you should be good. Any bigger than that and you'll need a more powerful unit. It's easy to think that tankless water heaters just provide endless hot water in any circumstances, but that's not the case. Needed to replace a 13KW heater that quit after some years of service. Liked this one since it was 14KW and had a 3.6 GPM flow rate. I'm limited to a 60 AMP breaker and this seemed to be the best alternative. Installation was quick and easy. Long hot showers aren't a problem. I had needed a flow restrictor on my tub with the old unit and it took forever to fill. I found that the next larger restrictor works with this unit and tub fills more quickly but a restrictor is still necessary as I would expect it to be with any smaller water heater. Can't speak to longevity yet but so far really like this little heater. My old one only showed the desired water temp. This one shows actual temp which is kind of cool. ... show more
