This bed seriously is awesome. It’s sturdy and TALL. I opted for the 18’ to really utilize the space underneath due to living in a smaller space and oh man this really is a life changer! I fit an incredible amount under it and still have more than 60% space left. My sister and I assembled it and we had a few hiccups with putting things backwards initially (our mistake lol) but all in all it is a very straightforward build. I will say this is a two person job to get done efficiently. Obviously you can try and tackle it alone but It’d be extremely difficult due to pieces needing to be held at certain assembly times on opposing ends. All in all this bed is a 10/10 for me. Great value frame that's good enough for heavier set people. I bought this as a temporary bed for myself so I didn't have to sleep on the floor when I went to stay with my parents for a few months in the summer of 2025. I was pregnant and pushing 280lbs so I needed something cheap and sturdy AKA not an air mattress. It was very easy to assemble, not too heavy to move individually without the mattress, and just the right size. I had plenty of space to move so I could turn around, plenty of leg room, and it was just the right height so I could sit or lay down without having to climb or squat which made it easy to maneuver around. Only thing wrong with this frame is that it squeaks /creaks no matter what you do. It's worth it though, was definitely better than sleeping on the floor or and air mattress. ... show more

This bed frame is a nice height off the ground, leaving plenty of storage room if that is your goal. I was able to assemble it myself (66y/o female) with just a little assistance tightening everything up. Tools were included and screws were properly labeled for location. Screw heads are rounded and curved so are less likely to jab a child or pet. The hinge in the middle of the side pieces allows you to pull one end up at a time during assembly and avoid having to crawl around on the floor (and try to get back up again). The slats were easy to slide in. Directions are mainly illustrations with minimal text. If you are thinking of buying bed stoppers/coasters for the legs ahead of time to protect your hardwood floor, the legs are rectangular rather than squared or round, with no sharp edges. The mattress does not fit down in on this frame. It lays on top. If you have a dog that likes to launch itself off the bed, the mattress may slide a bit off the frame; however, it is easy to make the bed and your sheets probably won't get pinched. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This frame arrived today and I assembled it. The process was simple, there are very few small parts, and it took a half hour of time. However, the metal is all chewed up. I used to work at UPS so I understand things can happen in transit, but there were serious abrasions like the one in the picture on many of the parts. I’m really disappointed with the quality I received. UPDATE: I bought this bed frame two months ago in preparation for my upcoming wedding. Due to renovations and having just got the mattress, I've only slept on this frame for the past week. It seemed sturdy and comfortably. I am pleased with the amount of storage underneath it too. However, when I sat down on the bottom corner of my mattress this morning, it fell right through. The metal slats that go across the frame do not secure in any meaningful way. They just sit in a shallow cradle. Unfortunately, it is past the return window. So now I am stuck with a broken bedframe a few days before my wedding. ... show more
